I find it appalling that there's people in college that aren't signed up to vote. If you're in college, you should be registered to vote, and if you're not, then you're a disgrace to the human race. End of story.

I love that I can talk to my grandma like she's a friend. She's in her 70s, but we share the same views about drinking and smoking and a lot of political stuff.

So I guess I'll finally update about Cobra/GCH.

We get there about 30 mins before doors (planned on an hour or more but we stopped for Bubble Tea and Qdoba, which is a cheap ripoff of Chipotle btw).

There's a fucking long ass line and I call Ashley hoping she's there already but she's not :( so we stand at the end. PS why pay 7 bucks to park when you can park at a meter for free? Thanks.
It takes forever for them to start letting people in and by the time we get to the door, the first band's playing which I figure out is Patent Pending (who I'm supposed to be watching for the Syndcate) so I start freaking out that I'm going to miss them and everything but we get in okay and everything's fine. They actually go over really well which makes me pretty happy because sometimes bands don't go over too well. Like a punk band on a GCH crowd? Could go either way. They did a lot better than Hangar 18. But we'll get to them later.

So after Patent Pending is done playing, we go back by merch and I get this atrocious Cobra Starship shirt. It's got a Cobra on it, and a spaceship. Nuff said. Talked to Joe from PP. Told him I was from the Syndicate and he was ecstatic that I was (we were) there. Went back down and suffered through Hangar 18. Don't make inappropriate and rude comments about women in a mixed crowd. Don't talk about finger fucking and 7th graders. It's gross. It's not funny. When I saw girls laughing about it, I was even more offended. When they finished we were in mode to start getting to the front for Cobra. I saw Gabe off stage and told him it was my birthday and asked him if he'd sing Hollaback Boy for me and he told me he couldn't because Gwen sued him and I was like "WTF?" and he's like "Yea, fucking bitch right?"

Cobra's intro music is so 80s. It's ridiculous.

They came on and we pushed forward and got right next to the speakers. Dance party all the way through the set and when "Snakes on a Plane" came on we busted it out. It was on. We brought it hard. As soon as Cobra got off stage "Sexyback" started playing and me and Karissa were like "EXCUSE ME MAKING UP FOR LAST NIGHT!" and we danced and sang our asses off. Amazing. Um, the speaker almost killing me? Not. So I left the front and my spot for GCH which is why all my GCH pics suck.

Megan was there and totally trashed. Like "I can't think or stand up" trashed. She was gonneeeee. She was bumping and grinding with her friends to GCH. She even pulled me in to dance during "Papercuts". During GCH's set I was dying of thirst and Karissa needed money to get a Cobra shirt so instead of paying Creepy's OUTRAGEOUS atm fees we got in the car and drove to the Shell station down the street. I got Crunch and Munch and Mountain Dew and she got some Vault. We put them all into her bag and went back into the Creepy. We pretty much missed all of Gym Class' set. I'm kinda bummed that I missed hearing new songs (particularly Clothes Off) but what can you do. 98% of the kids took stuff. There were some douchebags that weren't even trying to be polite. Rushmore Academy douchebag. Joey O noticed me for the first time when we've been going to shows together for at least 3 years? WTF?

So yesterday was a very eventful day. haha I met new people and probably had a lot more fun that I've had in a while/expected.

Jessi and I both skipped school yesterday so that we could leave early to get there early because doors were pushed to 4pm instead of a normal time because they had the Neon Dance Party going on at the Bottleneck. Lame. So we got to the Bottleneck basically at the same time as Karissa. Blasted some Sexyback and got a metered parking place on the street. SCHWEET. haha right by HTL's van. Parking for a quarter rules my life. Thanks Lawrence for owning so hard. We got there at about 3:30 and supposedly doors were at 4 and Karissa had all these posters and shit to put up for Day of show. We sniped This Providence posters outside while people started to talk shit about us because of our shirts. Mine was the most obvious one (aka the green one). The phrases are actually reversed beause I thought of the saying for Karissa's and her saying is on mine. haha So people kept coming up to me and asking what my shirt said. The Paramore's merch girl (who's a pretentious bitch btw) asked what mine said and then was showing it off to everyone. This Providence's tech guy took a picture of my shirt with his sk. Went inside to put up posters and Paramore was having a meet and greet? Kinda awkward. Basically just a bunch of girls hanging around Hayley. We put all these posters up and Hayley was like "what do those girls shirts say?" and was pointing us out to everyone and everyone was whispering and several dudes from Paramore came up to us and was like "what does your shirt say?" "Do you not like them?" "Is it a joke?" "Do you like US?" Bummed around so we wouldn't have to go back outside. Did I mention it was fucking hot as hell in Lawrence? I thought I was back in Phoenix. So we went and gave the dude who was dealing with meet and greet kids our tickets and so we got to stay inside :D Sidled some bitches out and then they proceeded to talk shit about me for an extended period of time (I say get over it). Saw Rossmonster and basically held my arms out until he would come and give me a hug. I told him how much I missed him and he asked how I was. I basically became stupid girl who has a crush on a boy and can't speak mode. Karissa said I looked like a lost puppy. He had this plastic bag and I asked him what was in it and he said clothes and I was like "Awww that's cute! you shop!" hahaha

Saw Ben. he's in like all of my pictures haha

This Providence was pretty good. The lead singer looks like a cross between Brenden Mendez/Adam Lazarra/Billiam Beckett/Dave Mellilo. Weird genes huh? Apparently he's Australian which I missed. He's pretty gorgeous. At the end of the night when I was handing stuff out he walked past me and I just stared at him and he looked at me kinda funny. haha

HTL!!! My boyyyyysssssss. I got so excited because I haven't seen them in 2 months. They start out with some weird intro that's new and then went into "Talk Us Down" which is something they've never done before (it's always the Call Out) and kind of switched up their set list. They played "Speakers Blown" which I've never heard live before and they brought back 100 times! Yayyy :D When they started playing "bodybag" everyone went crazy and people started crowdsurfing? Which was a very bad idea because there's no barricade and instead of SOMEONE (*cough* Evan *cough*) grabbing them and throwing them offstage they just got pushed right back into the crowd (excuse me douchemar?) . Shouted out Sexyback lyrics and got Nick's attention. hahha So we all got pushed and there was some douchebag girl who was like "OMGAH I NEED AIR!!!" and I was like why don't we pull her out? and her older dudeguyfriend was like shoving all my friends and crap to be up front with his pussy girlfriendsisterguydude. She gashed her head FROM HER OWN CAMERA! Whatev. Metronomes 2x. Girls screaming everytime Colin came over to our side. Gah. He's the new pete wentz. haha GIVE US DRUM STICKS. We all left the front after them and got out and just walked across the stage. hahaha

During Cute we left and went back to the Jetta and Karissa's car so that we could get the cds and crap I brought to pass out. Karissa had Decaydance baggies that came with all her atlantic records stuff. Apparently she works for Pete Wentz....JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. hahaha So we sat in the back while Cute continued and stuffed baggies. Karissa's face when they first came on was priceless. She was like "OMG WHAT'S THAT NOISE?!!" They played a REALLY short set, like 5 songs? We went to our cars when they first started and when we came back they were on their second to last song. Go figure that one out. They're direct support and they have a full length out but only play 5 songs? During their last song aka single aka "There's A Class For This" I was like "We should fucking crash that pit" and Karissa was like "LET'S GO" so we ran into the crowd and started pushing people and made our own dance pit. haha Everyone was staring at us. I think I got pushed once. So we left the pit before they ended to risk not getting killed. hahah

Waited around forever for Paramore to go on. Seriously, for a band that only has one cd they took fucking forever to go on stage. Some girls apparently called me a bitch and a slut because I asked them to move so I could go to the bathroom and I guess maybe I accidently brushed up against one of them? One of them had horrendous hair and eyebrows and so did the other one. Chrissy described them as hardcore AFI fans. haha Good thing I had my security with me.

Dance party to Paramore. I kept telling Ross I'd buy him a beer since they had 75 cent Miller High Lifes. I'll pay a buck fifty to get that kid drunk. hahahaha We asked him about his voicemail and he actually got it. HAHAHAHAH He was like "Yea, at first I didn't know who it was and then eventually I figured out it was you guys." Omar got a new phone so he hasn't listened to the voicemail on his old phone he said but he said he'd go listen to it. Oh god. "ADD ME BACK ON MYSPACE YOU ASSHOLE!"

Saw Davemissyourface and gave him big hugs. All the HTL boys were hanging around eachother and signing stuff. One of them saw my shirt and was like "OMG! YOU'RE THOSE GIRLS! Everyone's been talking about you." Nick told us that Cute knew and the were talking about us and Nick said that when he found out he was like "Man, that's mean. Who would wear shirts like that to your show and now I realize it's you! You're that bitch!" hahahaha Nick was like "Omar! Hey Omar! They're the girls with the shirts!" Omar was like "NO! Take that off right now" and tried to take my shirt off. We told him he missed seeing my boobs earlier and he's like "Yea, well I didn't miss much" and gave me this shit eating grin and was like "i'm just kidding" and I slapped him and then he proceeded to knee me several times, hitting me in the baby maker once. I asked Colin about the secret song and he said he'd do it if Omar was in and Omar was like "you have to talk to Colin" and I told him I already did and so he said that he'd do it but he doesn't have an acoustic gutiar (well TP does).

We were hanging out by the bar most of the night and we saw the drummer of Cute and someone pointed out my shirt to him and he was like "ha is that a joke?" and I realized that when you tell people it's a joke the look of murder fades from their face so I said that it was and he was like "give me a hug" and I did and Evan took a picture of us and and one of the other dudes from Cute got in the picture. I want that picture haha The drummer is gorgeous so I didn't let go after we hugged and I was like "you're cute" and he told me I was cute as well and I told him that I heard he was the cutest member of the band and he's like "that's because it's true." So we sat there hanging out with him most of the time. They cleared out the venue and even though Chrissy and Jessi aren't 21 no one bothered them. hahaha We also realized that Karissa and I are older than everyone in Cute. Tom's only 18! hahahaha He asked how old I was and when my birthday was and wished me an early happy birthday. Everyone was like "you know about the shirts??" and he's like "yea, but it's okay because we hugged and she's nice." haha He was in my corner. When I went with karissa to look at merch Tom was like "What? You're leaving and won't even give me a hug goodbye?" and so I went and gave him a hug and told him I'd be right back. The shirt I wanted from HTL they were all out of and the merch dude tried to sell me other stuff that I didn't want (I don't like new people and we'll get to the reason why this guy is a fucking pervert). While I was up there the This Providence merch guy tried to start shit with me and was asking me if I liked them and then wanted a reason why I didn't like them and I said "do I need to justify to anyone my reasons for not liking a band?" "no" "then why does it matter?" and he's like "you don't have to make a shirt about it" and then said he was just kidding. Asshole. So I went back over to Tom and I told him that the TP guy was a dick and he's like "Casey?" and asked someone to yell out his name and then when he looked over Tom put his arm around me showing that we were cool and then he was all nice. ass. Tom kept asking me if I'd make out with HTL's merch dude and then Nick and I was like "but Nick has a gf" and Tom kept saying that he didn't. hahaha He was like "do you think he's cute?" about EVERYONE and when I said that I'd kiss Nick if he was single Anthony (HTL's new merch dude) was like "you just said I was cute! I'm seriously hurt now. You're going through the whole HTL crew!" and Karissa's like "they don't know your history and still said that." hahahaahha

We found out that everyone was planning on going to Buffalo Wild Wings and I was like "we should go because I love wings and we have to keep HTL on a short leash."

Everyone walked and we drove while blasting JT, first it was "Future Sex/Love Sound" which then turned to "Love Stoned/I Think She Knows." Parked (free!)

Get inside and they're like "is anyone else here?" and I notice HTL is there so I'm like "should we be obvious?" and everyone's like "Does it matter?" So we got a table by theirs. Slowly more people came in...Shaant (who we've been avoiding like the black plague. Originally he was sitting in a booth so he was looking directly at us but thankfully I had my back to him. Apparently he wanted to talk to us? Yea....glad that didn't happen. hahah) Tom, Paramore dudes and pretentious bitch who continued to give us dirty looks.

Our waiter was HUGE. He was 6'9" and Chrissy decided she wanted to get her picture with him. I ordered wayyy too many wings. I thought I could eat 12 but I only ate like 6. haha Throughout the whole meal Tom sat at the HTL table and kept yelling my name. He put a menu over his face so I wouldn't know it was him but I knew it was. He was sitting next to Dave and Dave was just smiling at me. Tom kept giving me neck massages and then asked me to give them to everyone else. I gave one to Justin (Cute's manager) and some dude I didn't know. Tom kept wanting me to give one to Anthony (HTL's merch) and I was like no! After we got our food Anthony randomly came by and grabbed a cheese stick and dipped it in marinara sauce. Asshole! He walked off with it and fucking ate it! Yea....we don't like it. We want to start a petition to bring Evan back.

Jessi paid for HTL's table plus our own. Theirs was 120 bucks alone (that's with food and beer) and then she paid for ours. When she told our waiter he thought she was crazy. He was like "ARE YOU SURE?!?!" and she's like YES! JUST DO IT! And when the waiter told them that their tab was covered by her they were like "Are you serious???" and everyone got up and gave her a hug and gave her a standing ovation. Omar was the first one out of his seat to go give her a hug and kissed her on the cheek. hahaah Omar told me that my friends were cooler than me. He eventually came and kissed us all on the forehead. Kinda weird.

Jessi wanted a group picture so we gathered all 19 of us (minus Shaant and paramore bitch and other non-tour people) and had a waiter take it for us. We were gonna take it with Jessi's camera and with my camera but hers wasn't working so mine was the only one that got the picture.

End result. Best picture ever.
We then got a picture with our VERY tall waiter. haha

Tomthen decided that since he's so short he also wanted a picture with Evan.

Then we started to walk back to the venue because Colin said we could just clap and he'd sing. Everyone agreed it would work. I should have driven. I would have gotten back there faster. Half way down the street I realized Dave's cookies were in my car and CIWWAF crew dudes had to stop at EVERYTHING and get their picture taken. The metal man, a carousel ride....everything.
Example

We get back to HTL's van and everyone's packing up. Omar pinky swears that they're playing St. Louis with All Time Low at the beginning of October and they'll play it then (I think they just wanted to get out of it). Goodbye hugs. I tell Dave about the cookies and he said he'd follow me back to my car and he'll get them then. As I'm in the van people outside start smacking my ass and grabbing it. I think only Justin and Chrissy did it but it felt like maybe more. Anthony HTL's merch guy ASKED IF HE COULD SMACK MY ASS! and I was like "No! You're creepy and I don't know you!" and he kept asking and was like "I'll only do it if you want me to " "I don't want you to! You're creepy!" and he's like "you're missing out" and I said that I'm sure I wasn't. Can you believe that? How fucking creepy. Nick asked if he could smack my ass and then told me I had to stick my ass out so I did and he's like "that's not sticking your ass out! COME ON!" and so I did and then he pulled his arm back and really gave it to me. haha

Kept hugging Tom. I'd walk away and he'd want to give me more hugs <3 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v339/yourlegsaresmooth/randomness/IMG00727.jpg">
I seriously look 12 in this picture.

So let's update shall we?

Fall Out Boy
  • Skip Biochem to get there earlier
  • Traffic ugh!
  • Got there right as the OCKs had gone in so I missed it. I actually needed my OCK card which was funny because they didn't ask for it in STL and they made me sign the envelope proving I got it.
  • Got in and found Amanda and we basically pow-wowed on the floor for half the show.
  • The meet and greet was during FFTL so we went and lined up and SO many people showed up. It was ridiculous.
  • It took us forever to move and we didn't know where we were going. We were taken under the stands where hospitality was. We could hear/see FFTL and HH. We got back there as FFTL was coming off stage and saw Sonny Moore walk past me. WHERE WAS WES?
  • HH head bob. Give us guitars and we can basically replace the band
  • Rocking out backstage and disobeying Charlie
  • Waiting forever to MOVE
  • Saw TAI people

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
A picture of backstage. haaha you can see TAI's manager Tony the clearest

Waited and waited. When it was our turn in line we went when the people in front of us did because we didn't know what was going on. All the guys started talking to me and surprisingly Joe seemed excited to see me. I told Patrick I missed talking to him. Everyone basically asked me to what I had been up to. I don't really remember much. We basically threw our letters at Pete because Charlie started yelling at us. We was barking at us to get behind the table and we told him we weren't with those kids and he was like "YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU WENT!" and Pete's like "I told you! Don't tell at them!" and he was yelling at Charlie for yelling at us and pointing his finger at Charlie and telling him to cut it out. We got our picture and I have NO idea where to get it because we weren't told ANYTHING. After our picture we basically got shoved out and Pete was yelling after me and making sure I was taken care of.

After getting shoved out I felt like we were in a car crash. Like, did we really talk to them? Did that just happen? It was ridiculous. We made fun of Tyson and danced to AAR to make us feel better.

FOB came on and they couldn't have pyro for some reason? That's two shows I haven't been able to see it at. but I did get to see the video screens for once. It was pretty cute. During "Tell That Mick" when they flashed pics from the cover of TTTYG I got all teary eyed. I still can't believe how much these kids have evolved in 3 years. They will never forget where they come from.

Some dad was giving me dirty looks because apparently I was dancing too close to him and he kept staring at me and was imitating me to his kids WHO DIDN'T KNOW THE WORDS AT ALL. I'm sorry I like to sing and dance and have a good time. They left during XO when there were 7 songs left. LAME.

Afterwards we went outside and waited for Pete to come. He kept asking me to go to the afterparty because he had to shower and blah blah. I would have liked to have gone but I didn't want to go by myself and I had to drive home that night and I had no where to stay so if I was out until 2am I'd die on the way home times 10. So we talked for a little bit and I told him I'd be at Bamboozle and then I drove home and Katy basically saved my ass. If it weren't for her I would have died.

My tire decided to start leaking which I got fixed on Tuesday for free and it's good again!

Wedding in Vegas last weekend. I didn't even have time to gamble. Had a pretty shitty time. Consisted of going to a lot of receptions and lunches and forced to hang out with people Ibarely know (see: dad's side of family). I put friends before family. Friends are my family. Ate a lot of rice. The wedding itself was really nice. Makes me want a Jewish wedding but I'd have to convert :x Worried about my cousins spiking my drink when they should be respecting my lifestyle and not mocking it. I'm sorry I don't get shit faced less than an hour into the reception party. Blah blah. I requested they play "DanceDance" during the reception because they played "My Humps" and "Hollaback Girl." I "dance danced" my ass off. I broke a blood vessel in my hand. haha Couldn't breathe. On the flight back to STL I landed but my bag didn't. Hung around for the next flight from Vegas and it still wasn't there so I gave them my address to deliver it to and at 1:30 that morning I got my bag. I was freaking out. This is the first time something like this has happened to me in all the years I've been flying period and flying with Southwest. BOO for Bush holding up traffic.

Last night was Hit the Lights. Pretty much a bad night. Got there earlier than Karissa and right after TREOS showed up. hahha HTL didn't get there until 5:30. I was there for like 45 mins by myself before Karissa showed up. Luckily she kept me company on the phone. She got there and I found Melissa and we were gonna walk to this Chinese place I found but upon arriving we found out it was nothing more than an old Rally's so you could walk up and order and it didn't look too sanitary so we opted to go to taco bell instead. As we were walking back we saw IATA filling up gas and most likely buying beer since the venue doesn't sell alcohol or anything else. All of a sudden these dudes behind me start talking to me and I realize it's Nick, Omar and Dave from HTL. They went to go buy beer too (of course). Nick started talking to me and was like "hey girls, what's going on?" and I'm like "not much, what about you?" and he's like "not a lot. my band's playing tonight." (mind you, I'm walking backwards to talk to them...this comes up later) "oh really?" "yea. we're playing right over there. You should come check us out." and as I'm still trying to play it cool I randomly must have tripped over an uneven piece of concredte and I fall flat on my ass/back/everything. I go down hard and just lay there laughing out of the ridiculousness and hilarity and embarrassment of the situation. All I hear is "WHERE IS MY CAMERA!?!?! I WANT MY CAMERA!!!!" They're laughing at me and Omar keeps saying he can see my underwear which is a complete lie. I was covered. The only one who offered to help me up was Nick. Omar just stood there laughing. Ass. Points off.

We wait freezing inside doors waiting for doors to open. Omar guestlisted me and Karissa was already guestlisted so we were the first two in. The venue is weird. Seriously. As Tall as Lions were horrible. Jam band no thank you. Waited for HTL and I put my set list up and Colin said some of my songs were right (they played every song on it except for one). Played an AMAZING show with a great set list. Colin's crotch was in my face most of the time. At the end of "Bodybag" he ruffled my hair as he was walking by. When they said they were gonna play "Talk Us Down/309"I freaked out and squealed and they all just looked at me. haha

Sat through IATA with karissa. Vinnie is so pretty. During their set Vinnie was like "Yea when I'm done there I can see all of you but up here I can't see anyone....except you" and he looks at me and I start smiling and he's like "just remember that" and I was all "I do." No wonder he kept looking at me on stage. haha

Afterwards we went in the back towards merch and Karissa started talking to Mo their manager/merch dude. We went back out for TREOS. I called Colin and asked him to come and hang out with me and he said he would be in in 10 mins and he never came :(

Afterwards I took pics of Karissa passing stuff out and then braved the rain and ran to my car and pulled it up and everyone got in (karissa was still inside so it was me, Melissa and Chrissy) and I needed to get gas and I was gonna go park by HTL's van and they were loading out and I saw Colin and he waved to me so I went and got gas down the street and came back. Went back inside. Then we saw that HTL was getting ready to leave so I was searching the van for Colin and I saw what I thought was him so I knocked on the window of the van and he knocked back and I was like "come outside!" "it's raining!" "can I come inside then?" "sure" so I went around and climbed into the van on Colin's seat and we just hung out talking for a couple mins. They were gonna drive to MN that night or at least drive half the way. I'm in the back of Melissa's picture :D Can't wait to see it. Said goodbyes and said we'd see them in Pittsburgh. hugs are always amazing. Nick told me to tell my roommate that HTL wants her pussy. HAHAHAHA oh man

I almost died driving to Ben's. It was pouring down rain and I was hydroplaning and couldn't see and texting 3 people. Yeaaaa bad idea. Got to Ben's and watched some tv before sleeping. When I left this morning there was a 60 dollar parking ticket on my car. My first. Apparently there was a "no parking from here to the corner" sign that I didn't see and they were fining me for parking too close to a fire hydrant that was on a different street. Pretty much bullshit. It's all Omar's fault. I told him he owes me 60 bucks and he said my check's in the mail. I'm getting it from him in Pittsburgh.

In other news my HTL hoodie is the warmest thing I've ever felt/worn.

HTL pics Tell me which ones your faves are.

So FOB on Thursday. Let here pretty soon after getting out of class. just grabbed a pretzel and some water. No traffic on 270 but traffic on 70 getting out of St. Louis. I hate traffic. I ran into random traffic in the middle of nowhere because we had to merge over to the left lane and the right lane was closed off with cones but NOTHING WAS GOING ON. It was so pointless. Like construction in PA. Got to Kansas City practically on time....7:30. Drove around trying to find parking. Randomly found a lot where there were spaces and so I parked there for free and prayed my car wouldn't be towed. Got my photo pass without any trouble. Got in and found Karissa. Found Ben and waited for HH to end so I could use my photo pass. We found Dirty walking around and he gave me big hugs and I complimented him on his grill. haha Then we found Jim who I haven't talked to in a while and talked to him about vendors. I had to leave the conversation so I could go into the photo pit for AAR. Saw Ben and talked to Michelle and Melissa while I was waiting for AAR to start. Security kept thinking I was a crowdsurfer who got pulled out and I had to keep showing them my pass. One dude asked how old I was and thought I was 12. WTF? Tyson is uber creepy. Taking pictures in the photo pit of a big stage where the stage is way taller than you isn't much fun. I have to lift my camera over the stage and take pictures. haha I got amps and speakers in half my pictures. I wnet over and sat with Ben in the "VIP" area which they let us in with our photo passes. haha Security didn't fucking care. Hung out until FOB was about to come on. I realized they didn't have any of their backdrops with them. They didn't have that big white curtain that dropped while they set up so their intro music was playing as me and Ben went up there. They came on to "Livin On A Prayer" which they haven't come on to in over a year. It was reminsicent of old FOB days. I feel kinda bad that the KC kids got cheated without there being no pyro or backdrops, but I don't think it would have been safe outside with all the wind. Once FOB came on I realized why my heart beats. They make me feel electric. Being in the photo pit at a place that big is totally different. I was on Pete's side at first and Pete fucking moves so I moved over to Joe's side so I have ALL these pics of Joe and Andy and hardly any of Pete because he wouldn't stay still. Like he'd come over to Joe's side and he saw me and came down and smiled at me but then he stayed on his side and I couldn't move over there because they were pulling too many crowd surfers out and there's very little room between the end of the catwalk and where they had the barricade. After the first 3 songs me and Ben went and stood on the platform where they had the spotlights because you can see directly to the stage. He left after a couple of songs to go hang out with his friends. Pete said a lot of stuff on stage he hadn't said in STL. I liked the anti-gay speeech. "If you're a homophobic racist asshole then return our cd." Pete can blow a lot of hot air sometimes but he makes some good points. Afterwards I called Ben and found out he already left so I called Michelle and Karissa to try and meet up with them. Afterwards we went back to Karissa's car and got the Chex Mix and warm Fresca which never tasted so good. haha Beer would have tasted good then. So we grabbed our kumbaya materials and walked back over to the buses. Sat around for a while and realized that we were waiting by the wrong bus. haha The bus I thought was FOB's was HH's. Um yea... So I see this line forming on the other side of the street and kids are raising their hands and I'm like "Wtf is going on?" I start walking over and I notice it's Pete. So we get in the back of the line and wait for our turn. haha Right as I do that I hear Charlie say "anyone got a black marker?" so I scream out that I do and I start walking to to the front of the line and grabbing through my purse for the Sharpie Mini off my key fchain. Pete sees me and says "well look who it is" and gives me a big smile. I ask if green is okay and hand my sharpie to Pete. Charlie asks me if I want to cut in line and I was like "uhh" and I look at Pete and Pete's like "no it's Ashley. I know her. She's cool." He had to keep telling Charlie this to get him to chill out. "it's Ashley. It's okay." He acted like Charlie should know who I am. haha After all the girls that wanted shit signed got it signed Charlie handed me back my sharpie and started ushering Pete away but he couldn't leave without talking to me or at least give me a hug! Pete gave me a big hug and I asked him if he liked my hair and he was like "YEA! I really like it! I wanted to tell you that earlier but..." and I told him jeanae did it and he was like "when did she do it? did she do it when she was out in LA or in Chicago?" haha He told me that he really liked it and that he was gonna have to tell her that he really liked it and that she did a really good job. He asked me if I was going to anymore shows and I said Chicago and then he got pulled away by Charlie. He was still talking to us as Charlie was taking him away. Fucking ridiculous. So we left and I decided to stay at Melissa's because I was beat and there was no way I could drive 4 hours home. Karissa drove me back to my car which was there and happily intact. I parked for free! :D I followed Melissa back to her house and crashed and then woke up at 9 to drive back. The only good thing about getting up that early is being able to get McDonald's breakfast :D I got dressed and brushed my teeth, leaving in the same clothes as the night before, got on the freeway and stopped at the first Mickey D's I saw. I got two McGriddles which I haven't been able to eat in a while since I'm never up early enough to make Mickey D's breakfast. They're so yummy and syrupy. MMM. HTL and Third Eye Blind made for my trip home. Saw a billboard that had been destroyed by a tornado. It had cracked in half and basically fallen over. Ridiculous. Got back to my apartment at 2 so I missed Biochem. Showered and headed over to TBS. Went to will call to get my ticket I ordered presale a while ago and like what happened with the ticket I ordered through the TBS presale like 3 years ago (even though that was through Music Today) they couldn't find my name on the list. I had my receipt saying that I bought and purchased it myself and they were all confused and I kept waiting and I didn't understand why if I had this receipt my photo ID proving it was me that they couldn't just give me a ticket? Eventually they just gave me this piece of paper that said "one admission" on it and had a picture of TBS on it. We could have gone to Kinkos and run off 20 copies and they wouldn't have known. While I was up at willcall like 20 more people got in line placing me at the very back :( michelle showed up and got in line wth me. I really wanted to be in the front but that wasn't going to happen. We got in and there were too many people in already so we went upstairs and there were too many people up there too! So we were sitting on this bar table and got yelled at so then we just stood and did whatever we could. Michelle got made fun of by these nasty hoosier trannies that didn't know ANY bands. I mean, they were too old to know TBS and they definitely didn't. So why the fuck were they there? UGH. I hate people that bitch about needing to see but don't even know any of the bands. I let kids get in front of me for bands I don't care about or if I'm at a show just checking out bands I'll let kids get in front of me because I don't want to deprive some kid that's a fan of seeing their favorite band when I'm just experiencing them or checking them out. Ya know? So I get this spot upstairs by these 16 year old spazzes who start bitching and complaining about EVERYTHING. After Tokyo Rose ended their set they were like "It didn't take the last band that long to set up" and I'm like "that's because they were an opener. opener's soundcheck before the headliners and all their shit is set up on stage so nothing has to be moved." Apparently he doesn't go to shows that often. When TBS came on him and his friends went into epileptic seizures and about died. It was ridiculous. I liked the lights they had set up but I still wish I was in front :(

Afterwards we all went to Denny's and that night I woke up at 5am with a charlie horse and stomach cramps.

Did nothing this weekend. I have FOB on Wed.

Karissa and I are pretty much insane. I keep adding shows to May. We're going to see Hit the Lights in PA the day before Bamboozle and going to NY. We're basically going to be living with Hit the Lights for 3 or 4 days. If they hate us/her/me or get sick of us we're going to be in trouble. haah

I'm also planning on going to see them in Ohio before I leave for AZ.
I may also be making a roadtrip to Dallas on my way back to AZ to see Mike and Stan who I pretty much haven't seen in a year. I would still go up to Albuquerque to see Katy though.

AAR and FOB pics will be up eventually. IM me and ask and you'll get yelled at. haha There's 122 pics and I'm not through AAR. I'm still trying to get my interviews from Feb. done. Who knew transcribing something word for word would take so fucking long?

So I guess I'll finally update about the show on Sunday. Mike and AJ didn't get to my place until like 1:30am on Saturday because someone broke into Mike's car during the Omaha show and took his Ipod and his stereo and ripped apart his dash so they had to stay in Omaha and fill out a police report and they were too tired to drive so they got a hotel room in Iowa and didn't leave until 6pm on Saturday. Kinda sucks that we couldn't really hang out. We stayed up until 5:30 talking and Mike and I tried to watch "Kinsey" but I started falling asleep so we turned it off and went to bed. Set my alarm for noon but I woke up a little bit before noon and had to make Mike wake up. Laid in bed and watched "Spies Like Us" for a long time until any of them decided to actually get up and start showering. We didn't leave until around 2 and went to Del Taco and got some food and then went to the Pageant. We walked around to the buses and saw Brendon in the van so we hung out back there and talked to him some. Went to the gas station down the street to get back the 20 dollars that I loaned Mike at Del Taco out of his debit account and ran into Adam and Deidre and company. Talked with them and walked back to the Pageant with them. Hung around in the back some more and two guys came up and were asking us were we got our Del Taco from and if we knew of a pharmacy nearby and since I'm the only one that's from here I told them how to get to both places and I didn't realize they didn't have a car so a while later they came back and found me and asked me if I could drive them so I did. Turns out they're friends of Andy's who got on the tour in Kansas City and in Minneapolis I think. They get off today in Milwaukee. They're basically just hanging out with Andy and whatnot. They're really nice guys. Got back to the venue and we walked back and I went and sat with Deidre and Adam and Dan told me he'd come over after he stopped by the tattoo shop. Dan came back and I went to willcall with him in case he had any trouble getting his ticket and I needed to call Dan. We were confused as to when willcall would actually open because there's a sign that says if there's a show on Sunday it'll open at 4 and then it says willcall opens an hour prior to the show. Well it was like 4:30 and it wasn't open so we were thinking maybe it would open at 5 since tickets were sold out they wouldn't need to be open at 4? So we were waiting around and all these people start coming up asking us if the door's locked. No, we enjoy standing out here. If the door was unlocked don't you think we'd be inside?! There was this one 14 year old in particular who was just running his mouth and being obnoxious and I told him to shut up a couple times but I don't think he got it. At 5 willcall opened and we got in and Dan got his ticket in what's been the easiest FOB willcall transaction I've seen in the past year. hahahaha What I don't understand is how he randomly got a photopass as well. He didn't tell Pete he wanted one and.....yea. I don't get it. I don't get why the Pageant had their own passes either. We went and waited in the Halo Bar to get in early since we're both over 21 (even though the dumbass security guard outside told us they wouldn't be doing the Halo Bar entrance?). They let us in 10 mins earlier than everyone else so we got spots right up front on the barricade. It was really nice to finally see the NFT in it's entirety for once. hahaha Panic! came on and everyone went nuts. I danced and I was surprised at how many kids were singing along. What's up with them not playing "Camisado" though? Boys Night Out came on next and no one was into them and I was really sad :( Conor kept coming over to my side and looking at me because I was singing along and he leaned over and touched the girl behind me's hand and she literally started convulsing like he was Pete Wentz or something. I don't see why she'd get that bent out of shape over some band she didn't even know. Apparently her and her friend really wanted to see MCS because they were like "Oh so it was Panic! at the Disco, The Starting Line, Boys Night Out and THEN MCS?" Um no, BNO just played. Like they can't tell that MCS is setting up? Give me a break. Idiots. So then they're like "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH. MY. GOD!" I got pulled out during MCS' second song because after Dan left and these girls took his space it wasn't the same. I had my keys and stuff in my front pockets and so when my hips were getting shoved into the barricade it hurt and these girls were trying to like squeeze in and I just didn't care so I got pulled out and went and found JoJo and freaked him and his gf out and then went upstairs and found AJ and Mike and jessie and hung out with them during MCS and TSL. When FOB was about to come on I went back downstairs and stood by the stairs. When they came out I wanted to cry because 2 years ago they were opening for Less Than Jake and everything that could go wrong did go wrong and it was just bad and they had to cut their set short but they've come so far in 2 years and I'm so proud of them. They're my boys. No one deserves this more than them. Seeing the girls freak out when anyone (Joe, Patrick (HE MOVED!) or Pete) came over on the side was weird. They're too old for you little ones. During "XO" I went into the crowd and found Deidre and her friends and we started dancing and got weird looks. During one of their songs Pete walked off the stage and onto one of the bars and into the audience and I started freaking out because I didn't think Pete would ever be coming back and Charlie was no where to be found. He didn't come out until the very last minute, after Pete had jumped into the crowd and was surfing back to the front. Way to be on the ball, Charlie. I waited around through "Dance Dance" so I could see Dirty do Pete's dance (which is hilarious btw). I left right at the start of "Saturday" to go get the stuff from my car to pass out. I saw Adam in the parking lot getting his stuff too and we set up shop next to eachother. I totally cheated and started handing out handfuls of Gorillaz postcards to kids because I wanted to get rid of them so bad. Adam is so half assed at his job. He basically just handed out some stuff (my friends helped him) and then ditched his box and left. Saw Adam Gardner and he told me he loved me. Blah blah. After I got everything passed out I went to the back and hung out with Mike and AJ and whatnot. Said hi to Dirty. Got to talk to Patrick which was nice because I haven't talked to him in so long. Talked to Pete. Most of my night was spent hanging around Panic! and watching them shoot eachother with Airsoft guns. Dan took several in the arm point blank with both the gun and the shotgun and he didn't flinch. He was more like "is that all you got?" Brendon is scary with those things. He just swings it around like it's nobody's business. You have to get out of his way. Brendon's so funny. I love being around him. He's so charismatic. We have fun with those kids. I hung around until 1am which was bus call (Panic! doesn't really have one because they're in a van but they have to go where everyone else does) and said goodbyes to everyone and to Mike and AJ and Dan and left.

Quote of the night
Security dude - You guys need to move away from that truck. It's not your car. Go stand by your bus or whatever.
Brendon - Hah. I wish I had a bus.

What's with guys I know dating horrible girls? Seriously. I would much rather have them go back with their old girlfriends and deal with all the fighting and the drama then see them with the people they're with now. It makes me sick. I can't help but wish I could choose their girlfriends. I can't help that I'm protective.

December 20th is the hole in my heart.

June was last night and I had to sit through 3 shitty bands before they came on. Talked to Bobby a lot. It was nice seeing him again. I filmed all but 2 songs from June's set. Woo.

Matchbook Romance/Armor for Sleep on Tuesday
  • Got there and there's NO ONE in line. WTF?
  • Got in on the guest list just fine
  • Had to suffer through Gatsby's American Dream (why they need another drummer I don't know) and Lovedrug (BLEEEHHH)
  • Gave the kid asking us if there was free water shit
  • Gave the kids who were under 21 that kept trying to leave shit. I swear about 50 of them tried to walk out the door but when they were told they wouldn't be able to get back in they were kind of mad and changed their minds.
  • Sat in the bar and suffocated from all the smoke. We officially became the old creepy people.
  • Said hi to Meg and it was weird seeing her with Autumn.
  • When AFS came on Alex and I pushed our way to the front and it was awesome. I got stuck by some assholes who have not been to many shows before because they didn't know how to act. When I would get pushed into them and it wouldn't even be that hard, this dude and his bitchy friend would like push me really hard back into the pit and I wanted to punch them both in the face. This dude thought it'd be cute to start his own mosh pit and be an asshole and make some kind of statement. So I kicked him in the back. hahahahahah
  • There was some dude in the pit thrashing around like an idiot so I slapped him and he apologized to me. hahahahha
  • We left after AFS because Alex wanted to leave and neither one of us really cared about seeing MBR. I wish Dirty still did their merch. That would have been an incentive :(
  • We went to the President Casino to try and get our parking validated for free but we went inside and the lady wanted me to pay 2 bucks for one of those crappy players cards and I was basically over the idea after I heard that because I'm not paying 3 bucks to save 2 on parking. So we paid 5 bucks to park and left.

Rufio/MXPX/Relient K on Wednesday

Got out of lab really early (like 4:30) so I went home, showered, called Lowell and then he came over and we ate dinner together. We left here around 6 for the Pageant and got there around 6:30. Went to wil call and got my tickets okay and got my 2 photo passes *YESSSS* and went inside. Met up with Karissa and gave her my extra photo pass. Sat down and watched Over It who were pretty good but of course no one knew who they were. Rufio came on and Karissa and I tried to go down and take pictures but this asshole security guard stopped us. He tried to tell us that our photo passes weren't photo passes but were aftershow passes instead when it CLEARLY shows that "photo" is circled on the pass and not aftershow. He started to ask us where we got them from and I told him I got them from the band's publicists and the bands Relient K and Rufio were clearly circled on the passes. He made us go show them to the dude at the top of the stairs who approved them and gave the signal for 3 songs and then he's like "Sorry about that, I just had to make sure." Yea, like hell you did. Rufio did really well but once again, no one knew who they were. MXPX came on and played mostly songs that I didn't know. Will they ever play "GSF"? Relient K came on and made me suffer. BLEH. I was annoying everyone around me. hahaha I was hardcore dancing and doing the metal fingers gesture and I whenever the lead singer was like "We love our friends in Over It" I was like "I LOVE JESUS! FUCK YEA!" and I would keep saying fuck yea over and over again hahahaha I got excited when they name dropped Jesus in a song.

Lowell and I left during their encore to start passing out materials. Lowell was really into it and really good at it. He was jumping around and following people. hahaha I gave him all the information to join the Street Syndicate so he'll probably join and help out in Texas when he moves back there next semester.

Nintendo Fusion Tour on Thursday

Got out of lab at 3:30 (way earlier than expected) and called Dan to come over. He came over around 4 and I asked him to drive so we could speed and get there faster. Got to Kansas City around 7:30 and tried to find a parking space. The parking lot for Karsch's Apple Market was all full and we just happened to find a meter right in front of the venue and since it was past 6pm it wasn't one hour parking anymore. SCORE! Went to will call and got my press pass really easily but peeling it off wasn't happening so easily. Got in and they didn't even check us or anything. Dan and I said our goodbyes and I tried to figure out how to get down to the barricade to take pictures. I tried going down one side but saw that it was nothing but kids so I went back up and asked a security guard how I could get down to the barricade to take pictures. She went around asking various people and finally pointed me in the right direction and I basically had to squeeze by this narrow space to get in. It was ridiculous. They had the whole area pigpenned so there was no clear path and I had to crawl over boxes that were used to block off kids from going into the barricade area just to get down there. It was insane. I got down there and didn't think that they'd let me take pictures of the Starting Line since I came in after the first 3 songs but they let me stay up there as long as I wanted to. It was really nice. I got about 76 pictures of TSL then I left the barricade area and went and looked at the merch and talked to Jim. All of FOB's shirt designs kind of suck.

I went back up to the barricade area and waited for FOB to come on. The stuff that they play in between TSL and FOB's set where it's supposedly dirty talking and playing different songs off of the "American Wasteland" soundtrakc doesn't sound like Dirty. The voice is really really annoying and when he first announced it was him all the 15 year olds started screaming. He's 10 years older than you girls. Keep dreaming.

The photo pit was insane. There were about 8-9 other photographers in there with me. I had people all around me shooting. People were shooting over me and under me. Definitely a lot different than the MXPX show where me and Karissa were the only photo people (this still baffles me). Of course they were really strict about the 3 song limit and kicked us out after the 3rd song and pushed us back into the masses of the crowd and made me have to push all the kids out of the way to breathe. I went to the back and found Dan again and we proceeded to watch FOB's set. I was really surprised that hardly ANYONE knew any songs by FOB whether they were old or new. I can understand not knowing anything off of EOWYG and maybe TTTYG but there's NO reason why you can't know anything off of FUCT. I honestly believe that half of these kids just bought tickets to hear sugar and to see Pete and I think that's bullshit. I was singing "Chicago is so Two Years Ago" and this girl next to me kept giving me weird looks not matter what song I was singing like how could I possibly know the words? When they played "Tell that Mick..." and it breaks into "I hope you choke..." and normally Patrick cuts off the vocals and leaves it up to the audience and everyone in the venue would be screaming out the words but that wasn't the case last night. NO ONE knew the words. Like maybe 1/4 of the place was singing along. I was so disappointed so I started screaming at the top of my lungs and got lots of weird looks. Well, if you assholes can't represent then I guess I'll have to. Of course no one knew "Moving Pictures" and right before "Moving Pictures" Pete gave me a fucking shoutout. The last time I remember him giving me a shoutout was last year on my birthday. He said something along the lines of "the good thing about coming back to the midwest is seeing all these familiar faces. Stump Club (my friends made that shirt), my friend Ashley from St. Louis...." fuck yea bitches! I started freaking out and screaming. hahaha

Dan and I let during "Dance, Dance" to go back to his car and get the promo stuff to pass out. For a sold out show it didn't seem like we got that much stuff passed out. For every kid I saw with a homemade shirt with "Sugar" lyrics on it I wanted to say "nice shirt asshole."

After we got the Gorillaz postcards passed out we stood around waiting for Mike to come outside so we could figure out our next move. After waiting for forever we ran into Brendon and Ryan and talked to them for a little bit and then decided to go over by the buses and wait there. There I was bombarded by Melissa, Michelle and Roxanne. Eventually Mike and his friend AJ came over and we decided to go get food because I was starving and we all wanted to eat. We went to this diner place called Chubbies and soon Panic! walked in as well. haha

It took us forever to figure out what to eat. Everyone but me got cheeseburgers. I decided on a half of biscuits and gravy. They had a full portion, a half and a third and I figured a third might be like two so I got a third. It took forever to get our food and the entire time we were waiting we were trying to convince Pete to come eat with us but he wouldn't budge. A couple girls came up and asked Panic! for their autographs and I can't believe they would do that while they're eating. When I got my food there was a plateful of biscuits. There were like 9 biscuits on the plate. I can only imagine what a full portion would be like. The gravy was SO good. There were chunks of meat in it and everything. Yum yum. At the end of the meal, before we left, we ordered a shake to be sent to Panic!'s table with the message "swear to shake it up" (get it? milkshake? swear to shake it up?) on a napkin wrapped around it and when Panic! got it Brendon started CRACKING UP. haha He thought it was so funny. It was so great.

After that we left and we were trying to meet up with Pete so we could say goodbye. We walked around by the gates and there were only about 3 kids left waiting and went over on the hill and I tried iming Pete to get him to come out. We were freezing because it was really fucking cold outside. We couldn't get a hold of Pete so we walked back around to Panic's van and ran back into them and we talked to them for a while and got really funny van stories from them.

"What did you do with your trailer?"'

"We left it someplace"
"Where?"
"Someplace in Oregon...I think we can sell the trailer for like $500."

They then proceeded to tell us the hilarious story of the raccoon they kind of took as a souvenir.

We finally got a hold of Pete via IM and he was telling me that he was outside of his bus but I couldn't see him so I ran to the other gate by security and couldn't see him and he told me he was over the van so I called Mike to see if Pete was over by him and he said that he was so he kept him there until me and Dan came back around to say hi.

After we talked to Pete, Dan and I drove Mike and his friend back to their hotel and then drove back to St. Louis. We didn't get home until 4:30am so I had no intention of going to my 10am class but I woke up at 7am with horrible stomach pains and basically spent my entire day like that in bed in pain or in the bathroom. It was horrible. I couldn't eat until today.

So Friday was the Spitalfield show in Wheaton, IL. Picked up Dan a lot earlier than when we went to Chicago a month ago (no box drama hahah). On our way to Chicago we stopped at Steak and Shake in Normal and had this waiter who resembled my ex-bf to a T. It was really creepy. I pulled a picture of my ex up on my sidekick and showed it to Dan and he agreed and then showed it to our waiter and he agreed and thought it was really creepy as well. He was kind of surprised that I didn't want any fries with my food and I told him that I wasn't a big fan of fries or vegetables or the 1000 Island dressing that they call "Frisco Sauce" and he's like "Yea, you don't want that nitroglycerin." And I said "especially since I don't have any heart problems" and then once he left I quoted Panic hahaha just because I had to. "And those smokes in that cigarette box on the table they just so happen to be laced with nitroglycerin." Got into Chicago around 8 and parked in Wheaton and everything and walked into the venue around 8:30 (no traffic!) just as the Hush Sound was finishing. I joked to Dan as we were parking about what would happen if we walked in and they were just finishing up and he made it clear that he would kill me. We got to hear like 30 seconds of their last song. I was kinda sad because I wanted to see them to but I really wanted to see Spitalfield. Dan wasn't too happy. A really shitty band called "City on Film" came on after The hush Sound and we couldn't stand them so we went and stood outside with all the smokers. *I wanted to die* Seriously, every kid there had a sidekick and was on his sidekick. It was sick. I got the pink bunny shirt I've been wanting for forever. The one Pete was wearing when he got whacked in the face with Joe's guitar. Now I don't have to buy it off of him. hahaha Spitalfield came on and played a lot of old stuff and new stuff, but mostly old stuff. It was cool that they had all their former members there but they were missing someone, TJ. He was the whole reason I drove 5 hours to this show. I wanted to see Spitalfield one last time as I had always known them. He never showed up. I don't even think I saw him on the side of the stage. I was pretty pissed off. That and I couldn't go to Chipotle because the closed at 10 and the show ended at 10:30 :( Left at like 11 and didn't get home until 5am or so. There were some traffic getting out of Chicago, car accidents and whatnot. I didn't sleep well at all. People are loud.Pictures They're not the best because I had to keep switching from flash to no flash because it was so dark and I was so far away and people were moving and whatnot.

Yesterday I went and saw Across Five Aprils and saw Alex for the first time in forever. It was nice. The guy at the door was giving me grief with my id. He was flipping it over and checking the hologram. It's very obvious that my ID isn't fake. If you look at the issue date you'll see that I was 16 when I got it by doing the math. If you do the math you'll figure out that the expiration date matches up with my birthdate and it's very obvious that the picutre isn't recent and I think people use recent pictures on their fake IDs.

12 Summers Old came on first and they're pretty good. Novella came on next and they're pretty good too. The kids in the pit are fucking RIDICULOUS though. Kids in St. Louis can't dance. Period, end of story. They're a bunch of fucking idiots flailing their arms and kicking and that's it. That's all they know how to do. They look like morons. There were kids like riding on each others backs throwing eachother into the crowd. WTF is this? Homoerotic 101? Come on. I wanted to go in there and show them how it's done. A5A apparently got a new singer and he's fat which shattered all my dreams of how I thought he would have looked. haha I got to do a sing along during Pawn Shop Promises and it felt good because I can't remember the last time I got to do one.
