So I'm going to review my weekend/Panic shows and then go to bed.

Thursday
I got to the Creepy Crawl at 4:30 and met up with Dan and got to meet Ryan for the first time which was exciting because it was basically a moment 2 years in the making. I freaked out and screamed and ran and jumped on top of him and probably scared him. I wasn't there that long because I had to leave and go pick up Ashley in St. Peters so I left and enjoyed the traffic on 270 and got to her school and picked her up and tried to get food but the lines were too long so I hauled ass (75 all the way) back to the Creepy Crawl and got there just as doors were opening and Panic was going on. I freaked out. I can't miss Panic! I heard "The Only Difference" play from outside and wanted to cry because this was the one song I really wanted to hear and dance to. I was ready to pay kids off to let me cut in line with them. No one else seemed to care that they were missing Panic. We got in as they were playing "But It's Better If You Do" and I pulled Ashley and pushed my way to the front and got a spot upfront and started taping as soon as they started playing "I write Sins Not Tragedies." I got my birthday shoutout between Nails for Breakfast and It's Time to Dance :D Brendon said "Today is a special day because it's our friend Ashley's birthday. Where's Ashley?" and I jumped up and down and spazzed out and he said "There she is. Let's say happy birthday" and everyone said Happy Birthday and it was great :D Ryan came through. I got the new CD and was so happy to get it early and I got two shirts as well. Ashley, Dan and I hung out in the "arcade" for a while and talked and some nice boy came up and told me happy birthday and that made me smile :D We made the decision after the horribleness that is Augustana played to go outside and hang out there for a while until I had to go promote at the MCR show. We basically talked amongst ourselves for the longest time. I went and talked to Ryan for a little bit and got a picture. They left to go get food and I think I creeped Brendon out by offering to take them all in Dan's car so they didn't have to drag the trailer along but they had already unhooked it :( So we left and went and promoted at MCR. I saw Adam promoting for Victory so we had fun. We got all the baggies passed out pretty fast and then ate our Del Taco while listening to the new Panic! It's nothing short of amazing. I'm so proud of these kids. Who would have thought that in a year they'd be here?

Onwards to my review of the CD
1. Introduction - I have no idea what the guy is saying. If you can tell me I give you brownie points. I like how it has snippets of the other songs to come.
2. The Only Difference.... - Do I even have to say how much I love this song? It's a given.
3. London Beckoned... - This song is constantly in my head. I love how it starts out and the part where it goes "If you talk it better walk better back your shit up" The rhythm is just good.
4. Nails for Breakfast and Tacks for Snacks - I openly admitted to hating the new version but it's growing on me for reals. You have to retrain yourself to sing it because you definitely can't sing it like the demo version is done. I like the way "stutter something profound" is sung.
5. Camisado - Of course I love this song. It's always been good.
6. Time To Dance - Whenever I hear the demo version of this song I picture a music video in my head. I seriously want to make it a reality without making it look shitty like those videos kids always post on AP.net.
7. Lying is the most fun... - This song is so filthy and dirty but I love it. It's like a guilty pleasure. Everyone should have sex to this song. It's my ringtone and my voicemail. haha
8. Intermission - It's like a play. haha It's crazy techno music.
9. But It's Better If You Do - It's obvious the lyrics were written by Ryan because Brendon isn't old enough to go into a strip club. haha It's rubbing off on me. I love how when they perform live Brendon dances with himself and counts out "1, 2, 3"
10. I Write Sins Not Tragedies - Awesome, but that's a given.
11. I Constantly Thank God for Esteban - My favorite line in this song is "If the scene were a parish we'd all be condemened"
12. There's a Good Reason.... - This song is so Catch 22 it's not funny. I was surprised to hear it coming from Panic. All the trumpets and everything.
13. Build God then We'll Talk - Probably my favorite song on the CD. It reminds me a lot of Faces in the Hall by GCH. Everything about it is so golden. I want to hear it live.

Saturday
We left WI really early and got to the Bottom Lounge around 2pm and stood in line for 2 hours in the rain but it wasn't so bad because we both had hoodies and had this little ledge off the building to protect us for the most part. I felt bad for the kids getting poured on...oh wait....no I didn't. hahaha Doors opened and we got up front and Panic! played and the batteries in my camera decided to die, maybe it's because I hadn't used my camera since July so I didn't really get that many pictures of them and was trying to use my phone and got a video on my phone and whatnot. After Panic! finished we left the front and I left to go feed the meter on my car and used my wristband to get back in since I'm officially 21 :D Came back and rescued Kyle from the horribleness that is Augustana and then he said that he wanted to leave and didn't care if he couldn't get back in. I only wanted to see Acceptance so we left and hung around outside and I saw Pete so I got really excited and went over and stood around with all these girls who wanted his autograph and waited for him to notice me and it seemed like he kept looking over me and I finally said his name and got his attention and he got all excited and got this big smile on his face and gave me a big hug and asked me how I was doing. I asked him if he had gotten the letter I had written him or the card that my mom had sent him and he had no idea what i was talking about so it probably got lumped into the mass pile that is fan mail that I imagine he gets. I told him that it was my birthday the day before and he asked me how old I was and I told him 21 and he asked me if I was going to go get wasted (it's funny because the only people who asked me that know that I'm straight edge) and I was like "Yea right" and he hugged me again and he asked me if I hung out with Ryan at all and I told him that we've gotten to talk a little bit. Kyle was uncomfortable with all the girls around Pete and what they were saying. Some girl was telling Pete how she was driving around his neighborhood haha and trying to sound non-creepy in the best way possible but it was impossible.

I introduced myself to everyone in Panic except Brent. Brendon apparently already knew I ran the community and wished me happy birthday once again. Spencer was really nice.

We went to Chipotle and got some chips and salsa because we were hungry and when we came back to the Bottom Lounge we saw Chris out front and I had to push Kyle to talk to him. We were hanging around and I wanted to give Chris my L pass that expires in November because I'm not going to use it before then and it has like $6.50 on it and he saw me and was like "Excuse me but I have to give this girl a hug because I haven't seen her in forever" and he came over and gave me a big hug and I introduced him to Kyle and Kyle told him how he idolized him and we heard a funny running story and Chris was excited when I gave him the L pass. I told him it was my birthday the day before and he wished me happy birthday and asked me how old I was and asked me if I was going to buy beer and hookers and I said "hookers I wish" and he told me to wait a couple of hours and that they'd be everywhere but that they might not be all women. hahaha We got to see a test cover for Chris' book that he didn't really like. Pretty cool.

I had two unexpected people tell me happy birthday. Maybe the rivalry is over? hahahaha

I went back in around 7 to see Acceptance and of course the two songs I wanted to hear weren't played until the very end. Afterwards I met up with Kristin and all her friends came with us to Chipotle and we ate and then Kyle and I left and came back to Milwaukee and spent the night together but didn't sleep well for some reason. The people below us were really noisy.

All in all a good birthday. Thanks to everyone who called/imed/texted/emailed/commented and left me birthday wishes. None of you went unnoticed. It definitely made me happy. Props must be made though to Ashley who got to spend the first hours of my birthday to me (which were spent at a ghetto gas station listening to Panic and driving her home) and Cassandra for being the first to call and wish me a happy birthday.

I got Niptuck season 2 from Kyle, Fight Club from Kyle, Roswell season 3 from my parents and then some other stuff that they both just threw in. I'm getting the Panic and Hush Sound cd's but I already have Panic! ;)

Ashley bragged about her experience at 11:42 PM.
