So last night was Throwdown and tonight was the Taste of Chaos tour. Last night was pretty awesome. I got there around 5:30 and tours were supposed to open at 6. I ended up standing outside in the cold for like an hour or so. Some guy was scaring these girls and telling them that the show was mostly sold out (such a lie). One of the girls made him walk with her around the line because she didn't want people to think she was weird (loser). I found some guy who would sell me his ticket (really selling me a spot on his ticket list) which was pretty decent of him. Got inside and bought some merch and had to sit through several shitty bands before Throwdown came on (about 7 or 8 total). I came in during the first band's last song and then My Beloved Hatred came on and they're pretty good (but I already knew this since Adam recorded one of their songs for them). Small Town Tragedy was horrid because the lead singer left I guess so there was just two random dudes screaming nonsense. They didn't know any of the words so it was just screams. Such a disgrace to the hardcore scene. Some other band. Cold War was horrible. The dude had BAD tattoos. I mean, wtf does "young until I die" mean? And he had "forgive never forget" on his chest. That's such a teen-early 20s tattoo...not something you get when you're in your late 20s early 30s. It Dies Today made me realize how many hardcore bands there are that have the word die or dying in it. It Dies Today...As I Lay Dying...Everytime I Die. I'm sure there are others. The lead singer kicked me in the stomach on accident but it still kinda hurt. The guitarist has a problem I think. He tweezes his eyebrows thinner than I do and his mouth is permanently in a snarl. The Chariot drew all these Christian girls. It's just weird. I don't understand this whole god trend. All these kids are Underoath and Norma Jean fans. If you like God, that's fine and all but don't bring it in my face. The Chariot ended their set with "everything we do, we do in the name of Jesus Christ..." I want to shoot myself. That's why I dislike Underoath. Don't make such a big deal out of being Jesus freaks. Religion should be a personal thing. Throwdown FINALLY came on. There was the cutest 6 year old EVER that totally makes me want to have a kid. haha He had on a Dare shirt and camo pants and his dad put x's on his hands (because he wanted them). His dad brought him juice and cheetohs. Ahhh. He got on stage during "Family" and sang along. THE CUTEST FUCKING THING EVER. I'm trying to get pics from this kid that was there so I can post them. He was hardcore. He moshes too. haha I was texting Ashley the entire night and she got suckered into going to the Pink Floyd cover band at Pops and I ended up going and picking her up and she spent the night. It's nice having a girl to hang out with and talk to. Had to get up at 11 and take her home today. I was still tired. Today I got to the Pageant later than I had planned. Doors were at 4 and show was at 6. So they said. I got to the Pageant around 3:30 and hoped to just go and get my ticket at will call but it said will call wouldn't open until 4. WTF? That's when doors opened! I went and cut in line with Kelly and her bf. Doors opened around 4:30 or something. Got inside and I got a seat and sat down most of the time. Bleed the Dream played acoustically on the mainstage which was awesome and they sounded AMAZING acoustic. They rocked. Sophomore played on the "Side" stage (really the right side of the stage opened up). They were pretty good. My American Heart was kind of ill received which was sad because I think they did really good. The people around me were just pissed off because they wanted to see who they came to see. A Static Lullaby was okay. Senses Fail was good but didn't play enough old stuff nor my favorite new song. Underoath was horrible as always. Killswitch Engage was pretty good. My Chemical Romance came out and of course everyone went crazy. Gerard scares me. The stuff he was saying was just weird. Especially the whole "Suck everyone off" comment. I think he's a big pussy. The Used came out and Bert was being weird too. Smashing 2 mics because they wouldn't work. I really hope they were there's. Word on the street is he was smashing beer bottles in the women's bathroom afterwards at the meet and greet and probably won't be returning to the Pageant anytime soon after tomorrow. Mentioning his "wet pussy" and he was getting all on Jeph the entire night. It was getting hot after awhile I'm sorry but I think it was genuine chemistry not just for show. Maybe I'm wrong. They kissed a couple times. Bert kissed Gerard. Blah blah. MCR and the Used came out and did "Under Pressure" together. I saw Megan, Diedre, Adam, Adam Gardner, Andrea....and I think that's it. Never found Alex or JoJo.
Ashley bragged about her experience at 1:29 AM.
