I only got about 6 hours of sleep last night but for some reason I'm not tired at all today. I didn't fall asleep in Soc OR Biology. I'm proud of myself ;) I had a good time at Coheed last night despite the 3 shitty bands I had to sit through before Coheed came on. Brazil put me to sleep. FFAF made me rock a little bit and Rainer Maria put me into a coma. Coheed came on and everyone went fucking nuts. They played my favorite song off the new CD (Favor House Atlantic) and I went fucking nuts. Haha. They played "Devil in Jersey City" and "Time Consumer" during which I was singing all the words and the bassist noticed and was smiling at me. Awesome. They played more new stuff than old stuff, but that's okay. I want the Dobi shirt. I think I'll get it at Skate and Surf Fest. I'm trying to save my money until then. After the show I waited around to see if they were gonna come out and sign stuff. I figured I'd have a better chance of meeting them outside then inside so I went outside and waited. In the immense line to get out I saw Alex (who I didn't say hi to) and I found a FFAF wristband on the ground which I quickly grabbed. weee free wristband! I met everyone in the band except Claudio who was no where to be found. This dude said that he had already left for the hotel. Who knows. I got the bassist to sign my ticket. This girl that I was standing next to inside was standing around trying to meet the guys as well. She really wanted to meet Claudio so she grabbed my hand and dragged me inside the venue with her. The guy said we could just walk through the stage doors like nobody's business so we did and we ran into their tech guy Mitch who's super nice and gave me a drum stick and her a drum head. We went over by the merch booth to see if he was out there but no dice. So I got my stick signed and then left and came home and showered and went to bed around 2 or so. Alex got ripped off and only sold his ticket for 110. Lameo.

I'm going to see SOTY tonight with Adam in Columbia. It's my first time seeing them. I'm so far behind the STL scene. haha

I hope all my shots of Claudio came out.

So I got home at 3am this morning but it was all worth it because I had an awesome time.

I didn't get to leave school until like 4:30 because my stupid Spanish teacher decided to keep me after class and talk to me but she wanted to talk to this other kid first so I had to wait 15 mins before I could have a 5 min conversation with her. GAH it aggravated me so much. I got to Springfield around 7:30 or so. Dynamite Boy was finishing up their set when I got in the door. I was afraid that I was gonna miss MBR's set but I'm glad I didn't ;) Not to offend anyone, but the kids in Springfield are kinda lame. The crowd just seemed like they were there because "hey we live in Springfield and there's nothing else to do on a Monday night so let's go to one of the only shows that ever comes here." The age range was unevenly distributed too. Either the kids were 21+ and drinking like fish or they were under 18 and being giggly obnoxious teenagers. So many kids wearing FOB shirts. There were lots of cute boys with girlfriends. Lame. I kept looking for Pete but couldn't find him so I got my place close to the stage for MBR and took pictures and enjoyed my camera being lame due to a low battery (problem fixed. put in a new one). Eventually these two kids in front of me left to go join the mosh pit so I shoved my way up front. I didn't see Pete until he came on during "The Greatest Fall." All the girls started screaming. blah blah MBR finished and I waited for FOB to come on. They came on and started with the usual "Mick" and then did the usual set list and when they played "Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner" I went fucking nuts because I was so excited to hear it. It sounds so different live/full band. I think I was one of the only people who knew the words. Everyone was looking at me strange. haha It wasn't until they played Chicago that Pete even realized I was there. Nerd. He saw me and got this big smile on his face and stuck his tongue out at me and pointed at me. It was awesome. Then he came back during Patron Saint and sang to me. weee Then right before they played Saturday he told the techs to put the house lights on the crowd and then he asked everyone to put their middle finger in the air and he was like "this one's for our friend Ashley" and everyone turned and looked at me. haha I was kinda embarrassed but I've always wanted him to do that for me. That's just another thing I can cross off my list ;)

After they finished I left the crowd and went and stood over by the merch booth and waited for them to come out. I saw Pete walk outside but never saw him come back so I texted him and then I looked over by the merch booth and I saw him standing there signing stuff. I felt like a retard that I missed him that easily. I waited until people were done mingling with him and worked my way up there and he greeted me with a big smile and tried to give me a hug over the big bar table. It was more like a one armed grab over. haha He was like "I was wondering if you'd be here because I didn't know if you were gonna come or not but I'm glad you did." We were talking about how someone's impersonating him online and stuff but like when I mentioned kicking his ass at Go Fish he got this big grin on his face and was like "I've never played Go Fish online in my entire life. I hardly ever get online." Who knows. Sounds kinda fishy. He swore up and down it wasn't him but I don't know. I told him that I was going to see them in Freeport on Saturday then Jersey and then Normal and he was like "Normal's gonna be a weird show" and I was like "Yea, a bowling alley?" Haha. He kept running around all the time taking pictures and signing stuff and just being the stud of the band. Haha He'd walk by every now and then and squeeze my arm and rub my neck and stuff. He came over one time and put his arm around me and I wrapped my arm around him and we were just standing there but then this girl that I met from the September show at the Creepy Crawl came up and said hi and everything. I thought she looked familiar. haha I stayed through Mest's set and watched Pete scream Greyhound and Nick rap. The lead singer from Dynamite Boy came up and poked me in the stomach and made a comment about how kickass my MCS shirt was cuz it had the viewmaster on it. He's a really nice guy. One of the security guards asked me to sign his arm because he said that he never meets anyone from STL. haha That'll probably be my first and last autograph ever. I told him he should sell his arm on Ebay. After Mest finished their set some random guy came up to me and was like "MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK IS AWESOME!" and gave me this big hug and I was like "uh hi." I said hi to Patrick, Andy and Joe. They were in a hurry to leave since they were driving back to Chicago that night. I had Pete walk me out to my car so I could give him his cookies. I asked him if he knew how much the Clandestine skate decks at Skate and Surf were gonna be and he was like "I don't know, but don't worry about it. We'll hook it up." I was asking him about Europe and how things work over there and he was like "we need to find out who this person online is. What else do they know about me?" and I was telling him stuff that I talked about the person with online and he was like "are you sure it's not Kaitlyn?" and I said I was positive. I gave him his cookies and was like "now, these aren't just for you because I don't want you getting fat so you need to share" and he was like "okay." He noticed that I brought my Atticus Scout hoodie with me and kinda chuckled and I was like "Yea, I wanted us to be twins and get a cheesy picture together" and he was like "why didn't you wear it?" and I told him because I didn't want to carry it around inside because it wasn't that cold outside. We were saying our goodbyes so he could leave and I was like "so I'll see you on Saturday" and he was like "yea, definitely come find me earlier" and I told him I would be able to since it's on a Saturday so I can leave earlier. I also asked him if he had any friends or knew anyone that I could crash with because I have no place to stay on Saturday and I want to avoid spending money on a hotel room at all costs. He said he'd have to think about it. Hopefully he'll email me or something and let me know before then. He was like "hey, you be safe driving home now. How many hours do you have?" and I told him three. He told me to be careful and we hugged and said goodbye. We kept talking about how weird the show was. haha <3

I stopped at this Mobil gas station like an hour or so outside Springfield and as I was walking out of the gas station I saw Jordan pumping gas. haha What a coincidence! They were taking the same way home as I was so it's only natural that we ran into eachother. I figured they'd be farther behind me but I guess not. I saw them again when I got off the exit for school. They passed over head on the freeway. Those poor kids probably got home when I was waking up. :/

All in all it was fantastic night. I'm going to Coheed tonight. woo. I'm gonna get all my pics developed on Friday and then mass post them everywhere so watch out!
