So I went to go see Senses Fail/Boys Night Out/Moneen/The Beautiful Mistake last night and it was AMAZING! I got to the Creepy Crawl at like 6ish and there weren't that many kids there and I proceeded to freeze my ass off in the windy weather. I got to get in earlier and faster since I had already bought tickets. Bwahahaha. I got a spot on the side of the stage because I didn't want to die and get smushed in the front. Having a stage stab you in your stomach and trying to enjoy a show bent over most of the time is NOT fun. These kids in line behind me were all excited for BNO. This one girl said she was going to vomit when they came on. She didn't. I got stuck next to these Springfield (IL) hicks that had never been to the Creepy Crawl before and were suprised at its ghettoness. Lameos. So Boys Night Out came on first and they were pretty good. The lead singer is kinda fugly. It was really hard to understand what they were saying because I was by the monitors so I mostly got just guitars and drums. haha. The girl was hemorraging and freaking out about them. Then The Beautiful Mistake came on next which kinda surprised me because I consider them bigger than Moneen. The only way I could sing along was if I recognized guitar chords. haha I hated it. Moneen came on after them and I was like trying to avoid getting smacked by the guitar player with dreds for the most part. He was going fucking nuts and swinging his guitar all over the place. On their last song he jumped into the crowd by where I was and like fell over and had to be picked up. Luckily their guitar tech was in front of me which prevented the dude's guitar from knocking my teeth out. The entire stage was drenched in his sweat. Ew. Having band people sweat on me isn't particularly enjoyable. Senses Fail came on and completely blew the house down. Buddy's hairstyle is so douchy it's ridiculous. He's got this backwoods mullet crap going on. They played all the songs off their EP plus "Bite to Break Skin" and "Buried a Lie" and like 2-3 other new songs that I didn't know. When they played "Bite to Break Skin", "Buried a Lie", "187" and "Bloody Romance" I went fucking nuts. I bruised my knees from thrashing myself in the stage and I was screaming so hard I thought I was going to puke. It was awesome. I took like a roll and half of pictures.

So, I guess my day of fun and excitement all started about 1:30pm when Pete called me yesterday to explain about the whole "not staying at my place" thing. He said that they got snowed in at KC and had to spend the night there and their was no reception in their shitty hotel room so he couldn't call me at all. I felt special that he called me. He's never called me before so when my phone rang and I saw his name on the caller ID I was so fucking ecstatic. I was all smiles. He told me that they were about a couple hours outside of STL and that he'd call me when they got half an hour away but he never did but that's okay because that's Pete for you. He doesn't call anyone back.
So after I got done in my Chem lab I got gussied up and Adam and I headed out for MN. We got there at like 5:45 and Alex was saving us a place in line cuz he's the bomb shizzle like that. So we waited outside for like an hour and a half since the doors opened at 7. I was smart this time and brought gloves. Alex was a silly boy and didn't wear his jacket in line because he didn't want to have to hold onto it once he got inside. I don't understand people like that AT ALL. I got stuck by all the smokers and started hacking up a lung because I despise cigarette smoke. Some girls tried to get me to sign the FOB mailing list and I told her I was already on it and she seemed surprised for some reason. Then these 14 year olds kept singing "Milkshake" and I wanted to shoot them. I find it humorous that most people don't even know that song is about giving head. "My DEEPTHROAT brings all the boys to the yard...." *rolls eyes* Andy and Joe walked by a couple times along with Dan and Jordan. Andy stopped to talk to me for a little bit. Steve, the roadie for Dynamite Boy, recognized me and said hi. I asked Andy whether they were staying the night in STL or driving to Milwaukee or what and he said that they were going back to Chi-town so they could be home for a half a day and then drive to WI since it's only 1.5 hours away from where they live.
When doors opened they told us that there was no surcharge afterall (awesome) and I ran to the front but it was already full so we stood at a spot on stage left next to where the barricade ends. I saw Adam from Loser's Luck standing by the speaker. We waved to eachother and that was the extent of our communication since it's hard to yell over people's heads. Dynamite Boy went first and I was learning some of their lyrics from having seen them on Sunday. Then it was MBR and I realized how cute the guitarist actually is. I didn't get a good chance to see him on Sunday since I was on far stage right. He's adorable. His screaming sounded kinda shitty last night though. Pete came on during "The Greatest Fall of All Time" again and all the girls went crazy as per usual. I love it when he shakes/vibrates.
When I was standing there waiting for the show to start I saw Pete by the stage talking to some band dude and he saw me and came up to me and was like "awww, look who it is!" and gave me a big hug and asked me how I was and everything. I asked him what he was up to and he told me that there was this interband drama going on between him and Spitalfield and that he'd tell me about it later. I asked him if we'd be able to go out to eat tonight and he was like "Yea, we can probably do that. We might have to go during Mest though" and I told him that was cool.
Fall Out Boy came on next and blew down the house. All these kids started crowd surfing and I got kicked in the head so I punched that kid. I pulled some bitch's hair. I hate crowd surfers. I hope you all get brain injuries and become paralyzed vegetables. Since there was no barricade for me to hold on to I kept getting shoved into the security guards and since they're more concerned about you not "passing the line" than making sure everyone is safe I got shoved a billion times. At one point I was like by the stage and they shoved my back in line because heaven forbid something bad might happen? Adam got shoved out of his place. I never lost my thank god. I saw JoJo's friend from the Nov FOB show there. She was standing right next to me. There was this girl who was talking about how much she hates when people take her place at shows but the funny thing is that she had no problem cutting in front of Adam. Dumb girl. She kept yelling at Pete/Patrick to stop talking and play the music. People are so lame. This kid behind me kept chanting for Mest like a fucking douchebag and I was about to turn around and be like "listen, appreciate and respect the band. You knew who was playing tonight and you CHOSE to come before Mest's set and wait around to be in the front so don't fucking talk shit about a band when you decided to come early." People like that make me so mad. Pete smiled at me a couple times and whenever he did all the girls around me thought he was smiling at THEM. Oh so classic. They were screaming and shit. During "Saturday" Pete hopped on the rafters and climbed like a little monkey. All these girls started screaming and this girl next to me was like "OMG! That's SO HOT!" *rolls eyes* When I was coming out of the pit I saw JoJo and he was looking pretty out of it. I miss that kid. We need to hang out again sometime soon.
After their set we left the crowd and went over by the merch booths to talk to Pete to see what the dinner situation was. He said that was gonna talk to Patrick to see if he wanted to come and that he'd go sign some shit and then come back. He was talking to me when he was hugging some poor girl. Steve (who was selling merch for DB) gave me a bottle of water which was super nice of him. That made my night. Adam started "discussing" the meat industry with a PETA rep who I don't even think is into PETA. haha Good times, good times. So after Pete was done signing shit he came back over to me and told us to meet him outside and we'd go get food. So we left and stood outside for about 10 mins or so and Mest started playing and Adam was trying to see inside but he couldn't due to all the people standing and shizzle. Then I saw Patrick and Pete walking around from the back and I started walking down the sidewalk and Adam and Alex followed. We were trying to find someplace nearby because they were leaving for Chicago soon and we saw this bar but then kinda decided against that. I guess they were trying to find some place that some kids went to eat at earlier. We were gonna go to this steak/sandwiches/seafood place but then we looked across the street and saw "Show Me's" and Pete was like "Hey! It's a Hooters knockoff!" haha I laughed so hard. Sure enough it is. The waitresses wear little shirts and short shorts. They have dollar bills taped all over the place that people have signed. Craziness. I'd love to have all that money. So we sat down and all of us got something cheese related except for Alex who got chicken strips. haha Pete got grilled cheese and cheese fries, I got cheese sticks, Adam got cheese fries, Patrick got cheese sticks and then the lone non-cheese Alex. I think it's funny how Pete always asks for Cherry Sprite which is basically a Shirley Temple, but for some reason he refuses to ask for a Shirley Temple. I have no idea why that is. He's a silly boy. Patrick and Pete spent most of the time talk to eachother and then Alex and Adam and I would jump in on random parts of the conversation like Patrick talking about his stepdad and imitating his voice and talking about his gf majoring in Equine Science and Pete talking about his sister majoring in art restoration. That kid is such a crack up. "What the fuck kinda major is art restoration man?" hahaha. You had to have been there. Pete was asking me about my mom and about whether I liked being an only child or not. Pete and I have the same kind of relationship with our moms. Pete commented on my TEN hoodie and was asking what it said. He kept texting someone on his Sidekick during dinner. Patrick kept making comments on the songs playing in the bar. I felt stupid compared to him because he's this vast music genius and I just know about current stuff. He's so intelligent when you get a chance to talk to him. He'll talk your ear off. He was talking about Phil Spector and what a crazy homicidal maniac he is and how it's crap that they're trying to blame Elliot Smith's death on murder instead of the apparent suicide. I asked them how the JD cover sounds and Patrick told me that instead of trying to copy a classic and completely fucking it up, they just took it and kinda made it their own song to pay homage to the greatness that is Joy Division. I asked Pete about the whole Lifetime movie thing and he says it's true. He loves those movies. I asked him about the Spitalfield thing and he said that him and TJ got into an argument and apparently this happens from time to time and Patrick didn't want to tarnish the kid's reputation in front of me or say anything bad about him which is understandable. Pete says they always make up in the end which is all that matters. At the end of dinner Patrick and Pete were arguing about who was going to go ask the waitress for the check and both of them didn't want to so they decide to throw rock paper scissors for it and that didn't work out too well because Pete doesn't know how to play. Haha. He doesn't throw AT ALL. He tries to cheat and it just doesn't work. He's trying to tell me how you throw off beat so you can have the advantage but all he ever threw was rock. He says he "stutters" when he plays, which he does. Alex offered to go get the check since they weren't going to decide anytime soon so we threw down 40 bucks on the table and the waitress got a 6 dollar tip. So we left and had to say goodbye because they were leaving for Chi-town soon so I gave them all hugs and told them to drive safely and we went on our seperate ways once again. I wish I knew when I would get to see them again. :/
I took about a roll and a half of pictures and I'm just going to get all my film developed on Friday after the SF show. So I'll link it when I get it back.

Sunday - I had a weird dream Saturday night. It involved Joe (Trohman) and I being best friends and Pete dying of cancer. Definitely something I don't want to come true, although it's be kinda funny/cute if Joe and I were BFF's. We slept in our clothes Saturday night so all I had to do was put on makeup and I was good to go. We went to Circuit City and I got a cell phone charger for my car because my cell phone died on me and had to be re-charged like whoa. Cigarette outlet charges officially rule my world. It's such a great idea. Then we went to World Market where I got some food and some Jones soda and a present for Alex. Then I went back to Jess' and chilled for an hour before I left at 4 to go to the FOB show. I got to Kansas around 5 and went to Borders to warm up and look around and I saw Jordan who was on the phone with Ashley. Then I went and waited in line for like 2 hours. I ended up parking behind the FOB van but by the time I got out of the show Mest had parked their tour bus where FOB's van was. So I happened to be surrounded by annoying 16 year olds that wouldn't stop yaking about stupid shit. I talked to Alex the entire time I was waiting in line. At one point this group of high schoolers turned around and were staring at me when I was on the phone with Alex and I turned around and was like "what are you staring at?" and this girl was like "you've been on the phone for like 2 hours" and i was like "so?" Me being on the phone doesn't affect them. Grr so we got in the doors and I hung up with Alex and they were like "OMG! You're off the phone!" and I was like "uh yea." So I got inside and I saw Pete and I went up to him and gave him a big hug and told him I missed him and told him how I'm glad he's not dead and he was like "Yea, I'm glad I'm not dead too." He asked me what I've been up to since I last saw them and then he asked me what the deal with my "dude situation" was. He was like "so, do you have a dude in St. Louis? or the dude in Arizona? What's your dude situation like?" and I was like "There's not really a dude in the picture." and he was telling me how he likes girls but sometimes it's better to figure yourself out and that everytime he tries to throw a girl into the mix it messes everything up. I thought that was interesting that he'd ask me whether I was single or not. *bow chicka bow wow* Then he asked me if I had gotten the shirts he gave my mom to give to me and I said thanks a lot for them because they're so rad. I love that kid. Then I went and stood by the stage and I saw Andy and he came over and started talking to me and I was trying to think of things to say to him so I asked him when their DVD/EP would be out and what the demos sound like and when they're recording their new album. He's so shy. Then he was like "Well I'm gonna go walk around but I'll be back. Thanks for coming again" and he flashed me this big smile and left. Then I saw Joe and he noticed me so I went over and had like a 3.5 sec convo with him which was basically the exchange of "hey, what's up?" and so forth. Pete kept walking back and forth and whenever he did he'd always give me a little squeeze on the shoulders or whatnot. I like it.
Dynamite Boy went on first and they were awesome. They remind me a lot of Riddlin Kids which is a coincidence because they're both from Texas. They didn't play their BSB cover which aggravated me a little bit.
Matchbook Romance came on next and they rocked the house. So many kids were jumping for them. I just realized that they did this song I liked from the Warped compilation. During their set Pete came on stage and screamed part of the "Greatest Fall Of All Time" with them. It was cute.
FOB came out and tore the place up. Joe and Pete jumped into the crowd during the first song. The crowd was really feeling FOB. Some other kid than their normal techie played bass during "Saturday" it was odd.
Mest was last of course and the venue was playing their intro music and they had to play it 3x before Mest finally came on stage. Nick was there but Jere, Matt and Tony were nowhere to be found. The second time the intro music was ending Joe ran on stage and then ran off. It was funny. They finally came on the third time and played mostly new shit and some songs off Destination Unknown and Wasting Time. No one knew the words "Long Days Long Nights" which I found amusing. Jere and Nick were hanging around after the show.
Watching Joe trying to hit on girls is quite amusing.
So after the show I went over to the merch stand and was asking Pete if he was going to go eat with me like he had promised in Phoenix and he was like "Well, Andy and Patrick have already eaten so I don't think so." Bleh. I asked Pete if they were gonna stay at my place Sunday or Monday and he was telling me how they had a hotel room Sunday night in KC so they might need a place to stay on Monday when they come to STL so I gave Pete my directions. Haha I wrote them on a piece of a cardboard box. How ghetto. But yea, apparently they're not staying here tonight because yea, they're not here. It really pissed me off because Pete and I were supposed to hang out and I wanted to go see Triplets of Belleville with him. GRRR! So Pete was busy so I went over to Patrick and Andy and Patrick was really excited to see me for some reason. He was like "HEYYYYY!!!!!" and got this big smile on his face. It was cute. Then the club people were kicking all the under 21 kids out so I had to go wait in the cold. I waited for them to come out and I only saw Jordan coming out to pack shit away and then the Dynamite Boy roadie started talking to me. He offered to give me his gloves so I'd be warm but then he was like "I'd give you my gloves, but it's cold outside." His name's Steve and he's a nice guy. He asked me how old I am and stuff and I told him I'd see him on Tuesday. Then I decided to go back to my car so I could start heating it up and recharging my cell and then E.J. one of the Mest roadies started talking to me. He was like "Come closer so I can see what you look like so I can recognize you on Tuesday." So he was asking me how old I am and we're both the same age but I'm older than him (he just turned 19) and he felt bad that I had to drive all the way home last night by myself.
So I didn't get home till 6:30am and then I woke up at 10 and I couldn't go back to sleep and I felt really nauseous and Alex kept me company. I <3 that kid. I'll post pics when I get them back.
