I apologize for all my pics being washed out. Stupid flash :(

I still have another roll of at least 20 pics from the DTR show that I need to waste before I get them developed.

I also don't know why my scanner made them look so crappy. Poo :(
clicky clicky

The AFI pics are included on this roll.

Well, I just got back from the Drive Thru Invasion Tour and it was AMAZING! Ahh!! Words can't describe the elation I felt knowing I didn't have to sit thru any shitty opening bands. I actually wanted to see all the bands there. I left here about 4 and with the horrible rush hour traffic I didn't get to Pop's until about 4:30-4:45 and I expect the place to be packed but it wasn't! Wahoo! There were like 3 people in line so I got in line and I was like one of the first two people inside and doors opened at 6 (show started at 6:30) which is frickin early.

The Early November went on first and they were awesome even though they said they were having techincal difficulties and apologized for playing like shit (which they didn't). They played some new songs and some old songs and I was kinda pissed that they didn't play "Something That Produces Results" but whatever. I was able to find Ace, Sergio and Jeff after the show (and had them all sign my poster), but I never found Joe :( Sergio remembered me and was all asking me what I was doing in MO and whatnot. He was a little drunk as always. Jeff remembered me after some hinting and I was all "..the chick with the Burger King crown" and he was all "OH YEA!" haha. He's so nice. I asked him about Buckethead on the DTR DVD and he was telling me how their van got stolen and there was this bum who walked around with a bucket like hat on his head so they started calling him Buckethead and he was all telling them that he'd help them find his van...so that's how that occured. I laugh so hard everytime I see that part. Haha. I told Jeff that I had the Buckethead scene on my phone at school so whenever I call someone and leave a message it'll say it's from Buckethead. Haha.

Senses Fail came on next and they were awesome. The only complaint I have was that Buddy only came out in the audience ONCE and he like got to the guy next to me then ran back to the other side so I never got to sing in the mic. GAH! They played all my favorite songs, "Stephen", "187", "Bite to Break the Skin", "Bloody Romance." Just to name a few. Afterwards I saw Mike at the merch stand and asked him if he remembered me and he did. We talked for a while about why I was in Missouri (always the topic of conversation haha) and how their tour was going. I asked him when their new CD was gonna drop and what it sounded like and whether it was finished and they liked it. They're going to Wisconsin tomorrow. I asked him for a guitar pick and he gave me one and signed it and then signed my shirt in my hot ass Silver Sharpie. w00t haha :D I saw him later and asked him to get the rest of his homies and later on Dave and the youngest one that's not Garrett and Buddy came out. Dave and Buddy signed my shirt and I got a picture with Buddy. Buddy was smoking but he was really nice. I was asking him if "Stephen" was about a kid who committed suicide and he said it was about a kid who got hit by a car and I told him about Theo and how that song always makes me cry and he apologized and I told him it was okay and then he said goodbye and asked me what my name was and introduced himself and shook my hand and told me he was sure he'd see me around and went back on the bus.

Allister came on next and this is when people started going crazy and pushing and I was in pain. I was bent over most of the time and my back started hurting. Timmy looked different to me for some reason. That man HAS to wax his eyebrows. They're too perfect. Haha. It was nice knowing all their lyrics this time. After their set the sound guy kicked their set list (which was written on a fry carton) out into the audience and I grabbed it and had it until TSL when during the last few songs it flew out of my hand and I never got a chance to pick it up. Oh well. Scottie and Jeff were doing the trust fall after the show. Jeff was trying to understand how it worked and kept wanting to re-do it. Haha. I saw more of Scottie than anyone else from Allister. I saw Scottie before the show walking around with some girl. It was cute :D

Homegrown were awesome as always. A lot of people were crowd surfing and crap. I saw those kids after the show and they were all drinking and it just made me want soda. Beer is gross.

Then finally the Starting Line came on and everyone went fucking nuts. They played all my favorite songs including 3's a Charm and I'm Real. They played Make Yourself at Home and 2 other new songs "Surprise, Surprise" and "Classic Jazz" which is about smoking pot and that just made me disgusted but whatever. I liked "Surprise, Surprise." There were all these screaming girls who were screaming about how hot Kenny was. Whatever. I was hanging out with random people after the show and I went over and met Kenny and Matt and everyone again. Matt and Mike remembered me which I thought was cool. Matt said that only Kenny and Tom are down with the ganja. Tom had some Sour Patch Kids and I asked if I could have one and he said no and then gave Darren from Homegrown one when he asked and 5 mins later offered me one :D hehe All the guys in Homegrown and TSL minus Kenny went to the strip clubs afterwards

So that was my DTR Invasion story. :D I had an awesome time. I took two rolls of film and I'm getting the first one developed tomorrow so I'll post the links when they come back.
