So I JUST got back from the AFI show (not before stopping to get a bite to eat of course). I don't know what to say. At the beginning I got there and there were all these kids sitting around and drinking beer by my car (which they decided to dump by my car. How sweet huh?) and the rest of the kids were sitting around for no reason. So I walked up to the line and I was at the back and I said fuck this and went looking for Ealon (the kid from the Bowling for Soup show) and I found him and he let me cut in line which was rad. So then I look around and realize everyone looks like they're going to a funeral. They're all dressed in black AFI shirts (that they probably bought at Hot Topic) and all the boys have on eyeliner and everyone has black nailpolish on. Needless to say I'm one of the cheeriest in the bunch. Haha. I wore my Nightmare Before Christmas shirt since Davey loves Nightmare and I got many compliments on it :D When I was standing in line the security dudes started passing out these limited edition posters for our show to those who brought their Warped Tour ticket stub and since most people didn't remember/weren't notified they started just handing them out and both Ealon and I got one :D So doors opened at 7 and everyone tried to bumrush the doors and I knew I wouldn't be able to get up front so I was all 'screw it.' Plus, as I had predicted, later on in the show most people had to be pulled out of the pit so it's a good thing I stayed away from it. I went and got my AFI shirt and the merch chick seemed to be kind of a bitch, but maybe that was just me. So I had to sit through Bleeding Through (who wasn't too bad and who I came to find out was straight edge which I didn't know) and Hot Water Music who I completely hate and make me want to stick dull pencils through my eyeballs. Then AFI came on and everyone went fucking nuts. I tried to take some pictures of Davey when he came over to our side of the stage. He looked beautiful as usual and does all the moves in his Leaving Song Part 2 video quite frequently on stage. The only songs they didn't play that I wanted them to were the Leaving Song Part 1 and Wester. Towards the end of their set they left the stage like they were done (as we all know EVERY band does this) and this stupid 12 year old girl behind me squeezed her fat ass into my spot and was screaming for Davey. She proceeded to stay there the rest of their set and I had to rip my poster out from underneath her. Then some guy came up behind me and started whistling RIGHT IN MY FUCKING EAR and then some girl was singing through her nose behind me and I wanted to choke the life out of her. After the show I went outside and waited around for about 15-20 mins to see if anyone would come sign autographs. While I was outside hanging out with Ealon and his friends there was this penis walking around outside and I'm not even kidding you. Some kid put on a penis costume and was walking around handing out AFI stickers. Of course I HAD to take a picture because it's so funny and yet ridiculously random at the same time. Then Adam came out and I had him sign my poster I jacked from the wall inside of Pop's and then I saw Davey and I was all "......EALON!!! It's your gay lover!" I joked with Ealon earlier about how anyone would become gay for Davey and he's all "I WOULD! but only for him" so I coined the phrase bi-specific as in you're only bi for specific people. I'm telling you, it'll be everyone on the net in 2 days :D haha So I wanted in line to talk to Davey and when it was my turn I had him sign the poster and I told him that I thought he was beautiful and that his vocal range was amazing and the fact that they incorporated hardcore dancing into the Leaving Song video just blew me away and he smiled and was all "Aww thanks!" He's so softspoken and incredibly nice and I asked him for a hug and of course he said yes and when he hugged me he hugged me really tight so I could tell it was sincere. Most people I've been friends with for years don't even hug me that tight. He's so rad. You can see the joy light up on his face whenever anyone talks to him and he gets this humble grin on his face whenever he hugs someone. He's truly an angel :D Then I went over and had Jade sign my poster and then I left :D Wahoo!

So yea, LBC totally rocked the house last night. It was awesome to see them. Too bad my ratio for seeing LBC is like once a year. Stupid AZ. *shakes fist* Well all that is about to change hopefully. So I got there and not that many people were in line and then I got inside and realized Pop's is kind of like Bash on Ash only the stage is more like the Nile Theater in its height. I hate it when stages come up to my chest because then whenever someone behinds me decides to be a dickhead my boobs get shoved up against the stage and that is NOT a pleasant feeling. The Feds came out first and the lead singer reminded me of Deryck from Sum 41 only dirtier. All their songs sounded the same. They offended this kid next to me because they had a song dissing the White Stripes and this kid is in love with the White Stripes. Then NHOI (never heard of it) came on next and all these 12 year old girls started screaming because they're "lyke OMG so0o0o0 hott!!!" Ugh. They play a lot and I mean A LOT of shows in Arizona. I've never really paid much attention to them though. The lead singer reminds me of that Harry(?) or was it Derek? AH I forget! Kat do you remember? BUt yea, that dude in AZ that I see at every show. That's who he looked like. I got his sweat on me numerous times. That definitely didn't rock my world. He was trying to bling bling it with his rings and it just wasn't working. This girl next to me was beating up on all these crowdsurfers. It was rad. I hate crowdsurfers. Then LBC came on and I just went NUTS! I saw Phil in the pit. The highlight of my night was when they played "City Lights" which I've never seen/heard them play before and is my FAVORITE song on Throwing the Game. It sounds a lot different without the brass, but I was still a happy camper. I'm kind of upset that they didn't play "LBC" or "King of Apathy" or "Power of the Ganja." They played some new songs that just sounded awesome. Then they finished and I went over to the merch booth to meet them for the 4th time :D I had Adam resign my shirt (and he did the anarchy A again) because last time he signed it with a red Sharpie and it washed out. I got my pic taken with Adam and Jason and then I was talking to Ryan and he was all "I saw you! You were in the front. You were totally rocking it." I love it when they say that to me. It feels good to know that they see how into their music you are. I was talking to Jason and telling him about how I saw them at like the only 2 AZ shows they've ever played and he was telling me that they just played AZ again and they haven't played their since I saw them last in 2001 (in AZ that is). Stubhy was getting all the attention from the ladies (of course) and these two girls had me take their picture with him and the flash wouldn't go off on their disposable camera so they kept wanting to try and re-take it but of course the flash NEVER went off so you could tell Stubhy was getting aggravated and I waited until the crowd died down and asked if I could get a picture with him and he was all excited and like "yea! of course!" and then I had some chick take our picture and he got all close to me and after she took it he yelled at her to take another one because that one probably wouldn't come out so I was happy that he was all excited to take a picture with me and not them. Then as I was leaving Pop's some dude decided to be a dick and park his Jeep Cherokee right behind my car so I couldn't pull out. Well I didn't realize he was there until I was pulling out (he wasn't there when I was walking to my car) and so I pulled back into my space and expected him to move but he just sat there and was gestering at me and rolled down his window so I got out of my car to see what he was gonna say and our conversation went something like this.
him - Hey baby, what's up?
me - Can you move your car please?
him - You almost hit me babe!
me - I know. That's because you pulled up from out of nowhere and I can't pull out of my parking space unless you move.
him - Let me ask you something.
(at this point I was getting creeped out and I didn't want to get anywhere near his car)
me - Can you just please move your car so I can leave?
and then he finally did. I was a little worried though.
But all in all a good night.
