w00t! Now for the cd review....

Track 1 - A New Beginning : It sounds like something that you would hear in a movie. It's good intro music that I hope to hear them play someday in concert.

Track 2 - The Anthem : This song is just abso-fucking-lutely one of the best songs on the album. It's upbeat and delivers an excellent message. "Do you really wanna be like them? Do you really wanna be another trend?"

Track 3 - Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous : What can I say about this song that hasn't already been said? Another great work from the brilliant minds of GC. "Do you know if you were famous you could kill your wife and there's no such thing as 25 to life, as long as you got the cash to pay for Cochran."

Track 4 - Wondering : On the behind the scenes footage they said that the song was about Cashdogg. Who knows? "Then ever since I met you, I never could forget you."

Track 5 - The Story of my Old Man : I don't really like this song, but that's okay. "He told me that he loved me, and that I would go far."

Track 6 - Girls and Boys : Another one of my favorite songs on the record. It's totally true too! I love it when boys say how dumb girls are. I used this song lyric on a post in FTJ and a lot of people responded agreeing with me :) "Girls don't like boys, girls like cares and moneyyyy"

Track 7 - My Bloody Valentine : This song is very dark and morbid for GC. It's about a guy who's in love with a girl, but all they'll ever be is friends so he goes and kills her bf so that they can be together. Violent eh? "Oh my love, please don't cry, I'll wash my bloody hands and we'll start a new life."

Track 8 - Hold On : This song makes me want to cry. I heard it at Edgefest and it's about RO's friend Stephanie who wrote them a letter talking about how much her life sucks and how she wants to die. The song's about not giving up and knowing that things will get better. "Hold on if you feel like letting go, hold on it gets better than you know."

Track 9 - Riot Girl : Another of my favorite songs. It describes me perfectly except that I don't have any tattoos....yet! "My girl's, a hot girl, a riot girl and she's angry at the world."

Track 10 - Say Anything : This song is one of those songs that you blast when driving around in nice, cool weather. It has the lyrics for Time After Time in it except they changed it around and only used some parts from the song like the chorus and falling parts. "Please don't walk away, I know you feel the same, just give me a sign, say anything, say anything."

Track 11 - The Day That I Die - Another song that I don't really like. "Darkness falls I'm letting go"

Track 12 - The Young and the Hopeless : Ahhh! I love all these songs! They performed this song on TRL and it's totally awesome. I totally *heart* it!!!! "I'm young and I'm hopeless, lost and unnoticed"

Track 13 - Emotionless : This song makes me wanna cry everytime that I hear it. It's Benji singing solo and it just proves how badly they've been scarred by their dad leaving. I think Benj was hurt more by it than anyone. I just wanna give him a big hug. If it weren't for their father leaving them they wouldn't be where they are today. I wish parents weren't such dicks and abandoned their children for no reason. In a YM article Benji said that the last time he cried was when he was 16 and his dad left. They got evicted from their house because their dad was the sole income. Poor Benj :( "It was a long hard road without you by our side, why weren't you there the nights that we cried? You broke my mother's heart, you broke your children for life. It's not okay, but we're alright. I remember the days you were a hero in my eyes, but those are just a long lost memory of mine and so I'm writing just to let you know I'm still alive."

Track 14 - Movin' On - This song is okay, but not as bomb tastic as the rest. "Make the best with what you're given."

I forgot to mention that Joel remembered me from Warped tour. I was like, "I don't know if you remember me or not but I'm that girl from Warped tour who asked you to show me how Obi Wan Knobi walks..." and his face kinda lit up and he was like "I DO remember! Yea, and then I showed you" and I was like "Yep yep." Fun times fun times. So yeah, I took from screen caps from the GC cd.

Ashley here, the last post was by Meghan btw. Edgefest was fantastic. I went and picked up Angie and Monica and then we drove like 5 mins. to the place (they live really close to Peoria Sports Complex) and parked in the movie theater lot because they refused to pay 5 bucks to part in the venue lot. Cheapskates! LOL j/k. Monica was really nice. She's cute too. :) We waited in line for like 20 mins at the most maybe and then they didn't even frisk us when we got up to the front. So Angie was able to sneak both of our cameras in in her shirt. Then I saw Mike and I went up and said hi to him and he asked me how my party was and I said it was okay considering I got dumped and he was all like "that sucks really bad" and I was like "tell me about it." Then I told him that I would give him a call after I got my Edgefest pictures developed because he said that I take really good pictures (<--ego boost). w00t w00t! Then we went and looked around at the booths and figured out what time Good Charlotte was gonna be playing and signing autographs and then we went to the second main stage and got good spots for The Format. For a local band they're actually pretty good. I wanna go out and buy their cd now. While they were setting up, we were all shouting things at Marco cuz he smokes. I was like "smoking kills!" and he was like "yea it does." He's so cute onstage. He starts freaking out and whatnot when he's playing the synthesizer. So adorable. But yeah, they played an awesome set. I wanted to get a Format shirt but they weren't selling any. :( After that we went and saw Finch and they totally kicked ass. I got some good pics of the guitarist on the right side of the stage. Their roadie was totally hot man. So many guys at Edgefest had black and red hair. I was in total heaven. I love when guys do their hair like. Kinda like Matt from Mest. *swoons* I saw Nick in the pit during Finch. I said hi to him after that. Then we went to go wait in line for Finch's autographs. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Finch because the line was too long. RAWR! I got to meet Riddlin Kids tho! w00t w00t! I saw Mark first and he signed my photo envelope. I asked him if he rememberd me from the Tucson or Phoenix shows and he was like "you look familiar, by the merch booth right?" and I was like yea. I saw that he had a can of 7-Up so I asked if I could have a sip of it and he was like "I'm sick" and I was like "with what?" and he was like "herpes" and he started laughing. I didn't want to drink it because it was HIS soda. I wanted a sip because I was THIRSTY. And then this lady there from Aware Records I think it was was all like "are you psycho?" and I was like, uh no. Then I FINALLY got to meet Dave. I had never met him before. So I got his sig and it was then that Dustin noticed me. He was all talking to these girls and then he pointed to me and was like "that is the sweetest girl in the world." I think I blushed. Hehehe. Then I moved onto Clint and he didn't remember me either and I gave him the pics and he was like "I can have one of each?" and I was like "yea." So he took one of each and smiled at me and stuffs. Then I got to see Dustin and he gave me a big hug and was like "how are you sweetie?" and I told him about my birthday so he shook my hand and said happy birthday and hugged me some more. Then I gave him his set of the pics and he was all like "awwww" and thanked me and stuffs and then we gave eachother kisses on the cheek. He needs to shave cuz he has stubble but shhh, keep that on the DL. I told him that I wrote my name and phone number and email addy on the back and he was like "I don't know if I'll be able to call you but I'll definitely email you back." So I emailed him last night and I'll let you guys know when I get a response back. Then I left and Danny and I made our own new line for GC. I think Danny's cute regardless of his fruity voice. I was flirting with him all day and I think he was kinda flirting back at me. Who knows. Anyways, then I saw Dustin over by the fence so I wandered over and was talking to him and then I saw Benji and Joel and Clint so I got Joel to sign Danny's shirt and I talked to Clint some but I talked to Dustin for the most part. Mark gave away one of his bracelets to some kid and I asked if I could have another one and he said no. Blah. Then there was this kid dressed EXACTLY like Clint. He had on the DARE shirt and red Dickies shorts. His name was Roy and he was totally hot. *swoons* I asked Clint if I could have a bracelet and he was like no because most of them were given to him by other people and I told him that I totally understood because it would be rude to regift what someone had given to you. Dustin kept giving me hugs and stuffies. Awww! He was all saying thanks and calling me sweetie and stuff. I told him that Boris had dumped me and he shook his head and said that it was a damn shame because he was totally missing out on a great girl. He also told me that I shouldn't take him back and that if I do I should make him grovel a lot. Hehe. I totally love Dustin. I noticed that other people had written on his arms and I asked him if I could write on his arm and he was like "sure!" and he was like "but you have to write in blue cuz you're extra speshul." Weee! So he pulled up his sleeve and I wrote on his bicep. *giggles* I wrote, Dustin - I <3 you! You're my favorite band person. <3 ash. w00t! Then they had to go so I hugged him tight and was like "I love you" and he told me that he loved me back. He's one of my favoritest people in the world. He's always a mega sweetie to me. I should ask him to get me backstage passes next time they play a major festival like Edgefest and whatnot. After that I stood back in line with Danny and Angie waiting for GC. I was calling the Best Buy people cocksuckers because they were letting people who bought the RK cd that day in front of us. That's bullshit. Why would you let fairweather friends in line before real fans? Whatever. We were talking to Bekki and stuffs and she took my bracelet from me cuz it was pink and shiny and I was like "uh, can I have it back please?" She always wears the same thing I swear. She wore this top where her boobs are practically falling out of her top. She wore it to Warped too. I think she's kinda obnoxious. She's a Junior and she's turning 16 next month. How does THAT work out? Anywho, we were some of the first fans to meet GC. All these girls were screaming and pushing whenever they saw Benji or Joel so everyone was cussing and telling everyone else to stop pushing. GC was giving a radio interview to the Edge so I asked Danny to put me on his shoulders so I could take a pic of them on the couch. Then I got to meet GC (again for the 3rd time) and I was all excited. I talked to Paul first did my whole little "anti-TRL" rant on him. I told him that if it weren't for him and Billy there would be no Good Charlotte and Benji was like "NO! If it weren't for ME there would be no Good Charlotte." And I kinda laughed and then Benji turned to Paul and was like "you know I love you man" and they hugged and Benji was laughing and he smiled. Benji SMILED! He smiled at ME! w00t! Then I asked him if I could take a picture of his hair and he mentioned how it wouldn't be Good Charlotte without his hair and then he bent over so I could take a picture of it. Then he signed my shoe. Yes, I know it's weird, but I thought it'd be nifty if they signed my shoe so they did :) I should have some other band sign the other shoe. w00t w00t! Then I went to Billy and asked if I could take a picture of him and he was like "I don't like the attention" and I was like ooohkay. And I noticed that Joel was signing practically everything that Angie had and I got a picture of him too. After that we all decided to go get good spots so that we could see GC. Local H was finishing their set so we stood to the side and waited for them to finish so that we could get closer to the front. At the end of their set the drummer threw out his drumsticks and one of them landed at my feet and before I could get it all these girls were crowding around me and got it before I could. Dammit. Not that I really like Local H or anything, but it's just the matter of the fact. On another note, I didn't realize Bionic Jive was black. I thought they were just a bunch of wiggers singing about "hustla type shit" but it turns out that they're these black guys with fros. LOL. Anywho, after Local H ended Angie, Monica and I all got good spots in the front so that we could be ready when GC came on. There was this nasty girl with dreadlocks in front of us with a lit cigarette jumping up and down to Flogging Molly and I think the flies were hanging around HER hair. LOL. Kottonmouth Kings came on and everyone went fuckin nuts. There's like 8 people in the band and this one guy's entire purpose is to smoke weed, drink beer, and hold up signs saying "It's a plant." They call him the "visual assasin" and he's kinda scary. They're like Slipknot on weed. That's all they sing about. Except for Rainy Days but that's different. Then they have this totally hot guy named Tax Man with white face paint who carries around a megaphone shouting out stuff. He looks very angry onstage but Jacob met him and said that he's super nice. He's from a band called Corporate Avenger. <--taxman *swoons* The crowd went fuckin nuts when Kottonmouth Kings came on and I had to crowdsurf to get out of the crowd because I was getting smushed. So I stood off to the side until they were finished, and then I reclaimed my spot. Danny came up to me and was like "Ashley you whore!" and I kinda giggled and gave him a big hug and he told me that he called me a whore because he thought I was directing cocksuckers towards HIM. LOL. I had to explain that I was talking about the Best Buy people. And then he was like "ohhh." Hehehe. He's so adorable. But shhh, keep it on the DL. So then GC came out eventually and everyone went fuckin nuts. I got seperated from Angie and Monica and had to find them afterwards. I was getting smushed and shoved around and kicked in the head by crowd surfers. I still have my bruises to prove it. So GC played an awesome set and then afterwards I found Angie and she got a hold of GC's set list and Danny was being an ass but that's totally irrelevant. At the next small GC show that I go to I'm aiming for a guitar pick/drum stick or a set list. I already have RK's set list. So then we went and sat down and watched Boxcar Racer perform (who sucked except for Travis' drumming) and then we watched half of Authority Zero's set before leaving. I totally wanted to crowd surf. I should have gone and crowd surfed dammit. Oh well. They played an awesome set. Then we left and went to Jack in the Box and then I dropped them off at their house. All in all a fantastic evening I would have to say. Oh yeah, sidenote, I saw Neil there too and he was completely stoned and I also saw Andrew from way back when but he didn't recognize me.
