I got back from the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour about an hour ago. It was much better than I expected. I got there at like 2pm and was super early. They opened the gates at like 2:30 and I went inside and messed around until they let us sit down. I got all this free nifty Hoobastank stuff including an Island Records sampler. I grabbed like 4 stickers and 3 posters. Then I got a magazine for free from the Spin booth. w00t! I love when concerts have free shit. I got a free Hot Wheels from the Hundai people. w00t! w00t! I played Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX at the Playstation tent and got 13,000 points. Go me! Then it started to rain so I stood underneath the tent for a lil bit and then stood in the rain waiting for the stupid security people to let us sit down. They finally let us sit down so I did and then Nappy Roots came on and they were....not my type of music. All these black people around me were getting into it and I wasn't. I felt so white. I was surrounded by blacks, mexicans, wiggers and normal white people who came to see 311. Then N.E.R.D. came on and I got into it when they did "Rockstar." Pharell took off his shirt half way thru the set. Then I went down into the pit for Hoobastank and drooled over Doug and Dan. Ahhh! Then they made us sit back down so I did and kinda sorta made some new friends. Then 311 came on and I went insane. 311 brought the house down. Like literally! During one of their songs they brought out 4 drum sets and the other 4 members of the band including the drummer all did this nifty drum solo for like 5 mins. It was so awesome. Everyone was cheering them on so much. I couldn't believe how many people there were. There were like a thousand at least! It was more packed than Weezer I swear! Nick Hexum took his shirt off during the last song "Feels So Good." *drools* God he's perfect. I left after 311 cuz I was tired and hungry and almost killed myself on the way home in the pouring rain. I hate driving during hard rain. Anywho, I got soaking wet but all together another great concert experience. I'll post my sprite.com picture when it's available.
