Weezer sucks some major ass. Regardless of whatever Kim says they do suck ass. They suck ass in concert and they suck ass on radio/tv/cd. We got to the venue at like 6:30 and got a nice parking space up close and then went inside the venue. I decided not to spend 25 bucks on a Dashboard shirt spankyouverymuch and I saw Sam and Gia standing around. I went over and talked to Sam and figured out that Gia was there for "Weezer all the way!" while Sam was there more for Dashboard. We then found our seats and sat down. Those billions of flyers that I got while standing in line came in handy for blocking the sun. We went and checked out Roonie because Robert Schwartzman is in it and Kim digs Robert. He's a pussy in my opinion because he took his wife's last name instead of her taking his but whatever he thinks. FAG! LOL j/k Then we went and sat down again and watched Sparta. They were pretty good for an opening band. After that we went and watched AM Radio. The singer's mic got kinda weird for a few secs but then it was all good again. Then we went back to the main stage to watch Dashboard. Chris kicked some major ass. I was kinda mad because he didn't play that many songs from The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most nor did he play the Best Deceptions. It seemed as if most of the people around us didn't know the words to ANY of the Dashboard songs. We were like some of the only people in our friggin section singing along. RAWR! Stupid Weezer fans! Then after Dashboard was finished this guy was walking thru the aisle to get out and as he passed me I looked at him and just knew he looked familiar ya know? Then I realized that it was Blaise from school. He looked different because of his glasses. He saw me and was like "OMG! ASh! This is fuckin amazing!" and was just totally excited to see me. I looked at him some more and was just in total shock and he was like "do you remember me?" and I was like "Blaise?" and he was like "yea" and I was like "I didn't think that you'd remember my name" LOL. He did. Then he told me that we'd talk later so that made me happy. I had a mini-crush on Blaise during the school year. After this little friendly encounter Kim and I decided to go check out Hometown Hero. I listened for 2 mins and decided that I had heard enough so we headed back to our seats to prepare for Weezer. The opened with The Sweater Song and everyone went crazy. The played many different songs throughout the night including Buddy Holly, Island in the Sun, HashPipe, Dopenose, Keep Fishin' and Say It Ain't So. It seems as if the preppy A&F kids weren't too keen to the Blue album and Pinkerton material. They only knew the words to the Green album and Maladroit songs (which completely suck btw). None of the people around us were even fuckin singing! It's like we were 2 out of maybe 200 people that were singing along to the old material. The girls next to us that were with Blaise were giving me and Kim dirty looks and I think that they might have been talking shit about us too. Stupid sluts. Kim and I think that Rivers was extremely high because he switched off between two personas, a preacher and a gangtsa. He was all giving this lecture about a dark place and calling us his brothers and sisters. He told us that he loved us and wanted to hug everyone and give everyone a kiss on the cheek too. Then he'd be like "I like the way you shake it" and "raise el roof" and "werd g." He's just extremely weird. Kim and I were laughing at him the whole time. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there was a "Rivers for God" petition circulating the internet somewhere. It was like being at an NSYNC concert only not. Everyone screamed whenever the stupidest shit happened. Their backdrops were pathetic. What band has their own fuckin hand gesture? They seem to think that every word that comes out of Rivers mouth is funny. It's not people. After the concert was finally over (thank the REAL god!) I talked to Blaise for a little bit and got his digits. See? I told him that I was happy cuz he loved me and it seemed as if he was really excited to see me and that I didn't think he'd remember my name. He was like "of course I remember you. You sat behind me in History and you talked 90 million mph." I was like "oh great, you remembered me because I talk fast" and he was like "nooo, you're a nice girl." I think he was kinda offended when I mentioned that Weezer sucked but oh well. I asked him when he was going into the Army/Marines and he said 20 days and mentioned that he was kinda scared. Why can't anyone go to college anymore? Is it THAT expensive to go to a state school? Whatever. I mentioned that we should hang out sometime and he was all like "*eyes light up* we should!" so I had him write his number on my arm in Sharpie *blushes* teehee. I told him that I'd call him tomorrow and he was like "yea, we definitely gotta hang out" and then he went out of his way to introduce himself to Kim. I thought that was sweet. Definitely gets points in my book. Too bad he's leaving soon. Blah.
