Brandon thought that he might be able to make it to the Mest concert, but turns out that he couldn't. He had an art show he had to go to but that's cool. So Kylee and I went to eat at 5 & Diner before the concierto. After that we headed straight to the Buzz and got there at like 6:30 and the doors weren't supposed to open until 8. So we waited in line and I called Rapheala while I was waiting. She was so jealous! She's only seen Mest once and I've seen them 5 times. LOL. So I talked to her for a while and then we were finally let into the place. Oh yeah, I think I saw Jer on his cell phone while I was walking up there from my car. He's always on his cell phone that silly boy. Then I headed straight to the merch booth and bought a Riddlin Kids 5 song LP. I can't wait till their cd comes out on June 4th! Then we found a place on the tiny tiny floor and waited for Dynamite Boy to come on. Kylee saw Ari (Steph's exes bro) and said hi to him and stuff and then Dynamite Boy came on and they played a pretty good set. They did a cover of TNT by AC/DC and they also did a cover of I Want It That Way by BSB which was really funny. After that there was like a little time in between and then Riddlin Kids came on and they totally kicked ass. They're my new favorite band since I discovered that I had a cd sampler laying around the house. LOL. I got some good pictures of them. The lead singer is totally hott man! Hehehehe. They played all my favorite songs and then some. When they started playing "It's the End of the World" by REM everyone went fuckin nuts man! The bubble machine was going 90mph and people were crowd surfing and one guy fell on my head and kicked Kylee in the face and knocked her glasses over and she left the pit because of it. I started slapping the shit out of the guy because I HATE crowd surfers with a passion. Soon after that I left the pit because it was becoming too intense for me and I just didn't wanna worry about crowd surfers anymore. I went by the merch booths to tie my shoes and Beau saw me and said hey. Then before Mest came on I planted myself right next to the amps. When Mest came on everyone went nuts and I got shoved into the amps a couple times but this cool chick behind me held onto me. That was so nice of her. Thanks chickie! I owe you one! It was so sad man. This guy named Chris McNair died the night before their show in AZ leaving a Mest concert. He got into a car accident. The band even cancelled their 24th gig to go to his wake. But Tony felt guilty because Chris was hanging out with him the night that he died and he thought that if he hadn't gone to the concert that he might still be alive today. I just wanted to hug Tony after the show and give him my condolences but I didn't see him and I had to have Kylee home by midnight RAWR! And then Tony and Matt sang this song that they wrote for Chris called "I'm Sorry" and they sang it all acoustic and pretty and stuff. The chrous went something like "I'm sorry, so sorry...your memory will never fade." I got tears in my eyes and everything dude. They played Cadillac and they played the intro cords for like 10 mins because they had these nasty ass strippers on the stage. The blonde chick was like 30 and totally gross. Then finally Tony got sick of it and he was like "if you guys aren't gonna strip get the fuck off the stage." Then the blonde chick took off her top and I heard her boobs were nasty and stretch marky. I didn't see them because I was too short. Then I got underneath the security guard's arm and I was able to get close to the stage. I was at the front of the stage and I was so close that I could touch Matt if I wanted to. It was so awesome. I loved his hair. It was all red and black and pretty. I can't wait to get my film developed because I think I got some killer shots. After the concert I found Kylee and she told me that she saw Eric Bonifacio and Jeff Nelson at the concert too. I wanted to hang around and hang out with Mest but Kylee has to be home at midnight so we left so I could get her home on time. GODDAMN CURFEW! RAWR! She told me that she got to meet Mark from Riddlin Kids. Stupid bitch. RAWR. When I get my pics developed they'll be on my photo album.
