I know this is like a week too late but I figured a concert review is better late than never. So I went and saw Mest/BigWig/Tsunami Bomb/H20 concert at the Bash on Ash on the 11th. I got there like 30-45 minutes early and waited in line for about 15 minutes until I got to the front and got my ticket ripped. I got to sneak in my camera! Woo woo! Hehehe. So then I made my rounds at the H20/Mest merch booth and bought Mo Money Mo 40z which is Mest's very first cd for 10 bucks. The cd is so awesome. They used to be real punk man and they even used to have some ska in their songs. After that I planted myself near the front and waited for Bigwig to come on. They played their set and they were okay (yum guitarist). While they were playing Toby from H20 was on the side of the stage watching them which I thought was pretty cool. After their set Tsunami Bomb came on and I was surprised because I didn't know that the lead singer was a chick. LOL. Silly me. Dude, I was like one person away from the front and it was so awesome because the bassist jumped up on the amp like right in front of me and I got to touch the lead singer's hand too when she jumped up on the amp. Bash on Ash is an awesome place because they don't have any security guards in the front keeping you from jumping on the stage. It's great. While TB was on I looked up at this little window thingy and I saw Tony up there. He was giving all of us the finger but of course not that many people noticed him. I waved at him a couple times. They were all pointing at people on the floor and they kept turning the light on and off. Stupid fuckers. Hehehe. Then Mest finally came on and everyone went wild. Everyone in the audience was singing so loudly that you couldn't hear Tony sing. It was crazy. I was so close to Jeremiah too man. They played Opinions first and I was all jumping around and then sometime around Yesterday my camera, Destination Unknown liner note, and Mo Money Mo 40z cd got grabbed out of my hand by someone behind me and I was forced to crawl on the floor to find all of it. Luckily my camera was only scratched, the cd was fully intact, but my poor cd liner note was crumpled like yesterday's trash. I was super-pissed man. Not only had my shit been touched but I had lost my very good spot in the crowd. I was yelling and cursing at everyone around me. It wasn't pretty. I almost forgot to mention, when they played Cadillac I was one of the only people who knew the part where they go "with the top down seat back rolling in my cadillac self control knowing right from wrong is what I lack." They also played I Melt With You (yay!) and I was one of the only people who knew the words to that song too. I'm so speshul! ;0) Hehehehe. After Mest finished their set I went and got a bottle of water because I was severely parched. While people were waiting for H20 to come on I stood over by the edge of the stage and I got Jeremiah to sign my stuff again but I didn't get another pic with him because I met him before in November. After H20 played a kickass set they came to their booth and signed autographs too and I got to meet Toby again and I got him to sign my ticket stub and I got a pic with him. He's by far the nicest band person I've ever met in my entire life. He's so humble and down to earth. He kicks ass! I met his brother too and got his siggie and I also got to meet the blonde British guitar dude and got his siggie too. After that I went looking for more Mest peeps and found Tony in the bar section where I got a pic with him and his siggie (altho he had to piss). LOL. Then I went outside and found Nick and Matt by their dinky little trailer (which is ironic because some people behind me in line were making fun of it before we go inside because they thought it belonged to a concert goer). I got a pic with Matt and his sig altho he was a bit of an asshole. I wanted to get a picture with him and so did this other chick so she's all like "you go first" and I'm like "nah, you go first" and Matt's like "Just take the picture." Looooooooooooser! Nick was pretty cool. Very goobery. I got my pic taken with him and his sig too. You can check out all the action on my online photo album. My Sharpie was the community Sharpie! It got fondled by many of the band members. That whore gets more action than I do. *cries* I got my LP concert tomorrow and it's off to my normal blog I go. Byee!

Ashley bragged about her experience at 3:50 PM.
